    Early Richard Thomas appearance

Interesting story concerning a young teenage pregnant woman (Belinda Montgomery), who is diagnosed as RH negative, while her husband( Richard Thomas) is RH negative. Dr Welby suspects that this is not her first pregnancy , which would lead to complications with a second pregnancy due to the RH status.

Eventually it unfolds that she was pregnant in a previous relationship, had an abortion, but she has never told her current husband.

He eventually finds out, and wants to reject his wife and the baby.

This episode shows the acting talent of a very young Richard Thomas, with his sensitive portrayal of a man devastated by his wife's deception. He was only 18 when filming this episode in 1969.

He and Belinda Montgomery returned for another episode in Season 2, All the Dandelions are Gone.

Two years later in 1971, Thomas hit gold , with his big hit TV series, The Waltons.

    • Trivia
Dr. Welby makes several personal revelations in this episode; (1) He was a ship's doctor in the Navy. (2) His daughter and her husband are living in Peru and waiting a few years before starting a family. (3) When his brother was serving in the Pacific, his sister-in-law lost their second child three days after birth due to the Rh factor in the blood. This tragedy is what motivates Dr. Welby to be so vigilant in diagnosing it.
    • Goofs
The opening credits read "Introducing Belinda Montgomery," but Montgomery has several earlier credits dating back to 1967, two years before this episode was broadcast in late 1969.
