DuckTales 2

In this game, you become millionaire Scorrrge McDuck as he traverses the many perils of what is apparently our world, but is actually a universe comprised of ducks, bears, dogs and other types of bird, all living in a sort of hierarchical, transcending society with one another. He enjoys water-skiing, long relaxing swims in his money bin and collecting garbage.

"DuckTales 2" is exactly what you'd expect from a sequel: the same familiar mechanics as the original, the recognizable style, but with new levels and a few small improvements. Scrooge McDuck sets off once again in search of treasure, bouncing on his cane and collecting all sorts of precious gems.

The gameplay nearly mirrors the first game entirely. There are varied levels, decent villainous bosses, and plenty of traps - all present and accounted for. Visually, it looks charming, especially the backgrounds, which are nicely drawn and detailed.

As before, the main goal is to collect ancient (and sometimes not-so-ancient) artifacts, while bashing enemies with your trusty cane. The gameplay is the same mix of platforming, maze-like level exploration, and climbing the ladder of duck-wealth.

"DuckTales 2" is a solid follow-up, though it doesn't bring many surprises. If you enjoyed the first one, you'll likely enjoy this one too. Personally, I had fun playing it, but I never became a true fan of the series.
