This deserves a 'Turkey' rating! A news reporter said 8 US soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia and the US Army would issue a report on the crash while showing one of the soldiers killed at a US Marine funeral with an honor guard. This honor guard does not have a proper gig line, and can not march. A US Marine is not a soldier, and would take offense if called 'soldier.' The further you get into the movie the more ridiculous this movie is. The screenplay is lousy, the acting poor, and the direction non-existent. Even the few TV stars can not save this movie. Low budget does not explain why this movie is so poor. No research is evident everywhere. I found it hard to accept Kate Vernon wearing a BAM uniform, that does not look USMC issue, with SGT stripes literally falling off her shoulder! This movie reveals itself as being a Canadian production, not an American production: police uniforms, EMS uniforms, Canadian beer, and Canadian scenery are just a few giveaways. Avoid this movie at all costs.
Like a bloodknot, this sometimes gets clogged up (no pun intended), so you can imagine there being some ups and downs too. But if you are a fan of thriller movies in general, you may give this a try to say the least. There are some interesting casting choices - interesting as in nice.
Still this is not an example of major acting or major storytelling - but I would assume that you do know that or should know that before you watch this. Some nice twists along the way and the story moves on nicely. Seen worse for sure - oh yeah there is quite a bit of nudity. Whatever that means for you (good or bad that is)

This is a very odd film.
But to say this would be kind of an understatement because this film is like a road accident. you really don't want to watch but somehow it hooks you in and you end up watching.
It's got lots of sexual scenes. Some in places you would not expect sex scenes to take place and while this might please some viewers it doesn't help make the film any better.
I didn't find this film entertaining in the true sense of the word but it did help to pass the time.....
Definitely a film for insomniacs and people who just can't sleep.

Like the previous posters, the movie starts of EXCELLENT then tapers off. Tom's girlfriend is ANNOYING as hell which is why I can't empathise with her insecurities about her and Toms' future. She is about as nutty as the main character.
Kaye/Connie was an excellent character, but the gratuitous sex scenes are really unnecessary.
I am always happy to see Margot Kidder working but her role in this movie isn't one of her best works.
If you like campy cheesy movies this is the one for you. It DOES hold your attention no matter how many times you have seen it to the end so that is why I rate it a four.

This film plays much like those Lifetime, Showtime or straight to video films in the 1990's with a mix of erotic thriller and suspense. The cover art very much describes and says an lot about the film and the time period of when it was made.
The story is entirely predictable and we know in the end there will be a reveal or twist. We are watching to see how it unfolds. And the twist was ruined by viewing the "Plot Keywords" section tab on IMDB (would not recommend viewing to avoid spoilers). Even without knowing, it comes very late in the film (reveal roughly around 1:24:00).
The main issue is the portrayal and actions of the characters. Mainly the girlfriend Julie. She was the one who insisted on taking the deserted stranger woman Connie to meet her boyfriend and their family despite knowing much about her. She saw her in the marine uniform yet assumed she was trustworthy and that she should guide her (we the audience know she isn't who she's portraying- as she stole the uniform off the actual marine sergeant).
Yet as the film progresses, Julie became more suspicious of Connie and seems to blame everyone and gets increasingly jealous- yet she was the one who essentially introduced Connie to the family.
Along the way, there is a bizarre and not very well explain subplot with Connie and some guy named Mike. Which were easily the weakest scenes of the film.
The plot is simply basic and besides the final reveal- which was a way to make things more interesting nothing quite stands out. There are a few brief explicit scenes with the lead (Kate Vernon- whom slightly resembles Charlize Theron) showing skin.
Overall it's a time passer thriller minus the thrills and true suspense. The film is somewhat reminiscent of the Guest (2014) except of course not as good and it stars a woman opposed to a man.
