When the character purchases beer in the variety store he tosses a case of Formosa beer over his shoulder. This beer is made by the Brick Brewing Company of Waterloo Ontario Canada. Obviously filmed in the province of Ontario, it's worth noting that beer cannot be purchased in variety stores in that province to this day.
