A thrilling and disturbing film with mostly Italian actors as Sacha Pitoëff , Gianni Dei , Mariangela Giordano, Carmen Russo about a young who is wounded in a roadside incident and is in a coma developing strange powers and resulting a weird effect on the people . It stars Patrick (Giani Dei) , a young man whose father (Sacha Pittoeff) runs an isolated spa . Five people receive an anonymous letter revealing a secret of theirs and inviting them to come stay at a mansion that houses a clinic run by the mysterious doctor who experiments on the brain of his comatose son. As five people arrive at the clinic : a corrupt politician called Lyndon Kraft (Franco Silva) , his wife ,Cheryl (Carmen Russo) , an ex-model, who sleeps in different rooms , a swimming star , David who's the son of a wealthy investor , and a tough-talking man , Peter (John Benedy) and woman, Stella (Mariangela Giordano) who arrive together but sleep in separate rooms . They're greeted by Lydia Grant (Andrea Belfiore) , the doctor's new assistant . A bit later on , Patrick begins to exhibit bizarre phenomenon , as he is in bed , wired to three comatose bodies and suddenly using his psychic powers he comes in contact with . He starts by sending his messages on a nernearby typewriter but gets violent when he perceives certain people as his harassed contenders , then executing a bloody vendetta , ensuing a blood feast . Later on , one by one , the guests get killed . The comatose hospital patient harasses and kills through his powers of telekinesis. Does Patrick have feelings? . Patrick is Nearly Dead ... And Still He Kills! . Some people thought he was insane, He appeared to be deaf, dumb and blind, None of them knew of the sixth sense: The power of PATRICK'S mind ! .Patrick doesn't need his body anymore. He'll scare the hell out of you. Acclaimed or panned by moviegoers and critics everywhere !. Patrick has a way with people . His way. Or else. The Italian killer-in-a-coma exploitation classic!.
Thunderously overwhrought pile of Grand Guignol horror and displaying a lot of slaughter , mayhem , sickening images and poltergeister with Patrick's considerable telekinesis talents . It is one of the nastiest , sleaziest and most brutal gore flicks ever produced in Italy . Including several nude women suffering grim , terrible and gory comeuppances and leaving nothing to the imagination . The plot is well known , plain and simple : a young has secret amazing powers to move things with her mind , and making her angry could prove to be deadly . While the original Australian film ¨Patrick¨ (1978) by Richard Franklyn had some of violence but nothing really bloody , this Patrick vive ancora (1980) nearly no connection to its predecessor , being really a crazy exploitation from Italy . Resulting to be an exercise in pure depravity with special mention for a female character being stalked by a metal pole and through the use of viewers are treated to all manner of sexual shenanigans, and some really grisly scenes of carnage , including two viciously barking dogs devouring a woman . A sickening , totally incompetent , an absolute insult to good taste , especially the horrible frames about a vicious wife stabbed in the crotch , which qualifies Patrick still alive for an extremely elevated sleaziness . That's why it's rated NC-17 or R due to extreme graphic violence , continuous full male and female nudity, adding strong sexual scenes , language and many other things. Mediocre main and support cast with full of gorgeous naked women , such as : Mariangela Giordano , Carmen Russo , Anna Veneziano and Andrea Belfiore . And Gianni Dei as the young Patrick laying comatose in a small private hospital while giving a unsettling and disturbing appearance .
This horror-thriller was lousily directed by Mario Landi , although marketed as straight sequel to the Ozzy terror "Patrick" , it has little to do with the former movie . Landi was an Italian craftsman from the Fifties , directing acceptable dramas and comedies such as ¨Siamo tutti Milanes¨ , ¨Canzoni per le strade¨ , ¨Maigret at the Pigalle¨, ¨Jacob and Esau¨ played by notorious European actors as Ugo Tognazzi, Walter Chiari , Gino Cervi , Raymond Pellegrin , Fosco Giachetti , Ken Clark, Massimo Serato . However, in the Seventies he moved to explotiation , grim terror , sex comedy and softcore , such as : ¨Batton Story¨ , ¨Il Viziaccio¨, ¨Supersexy Market¨ , and the extremely gory Giallo : ¨Giallo a Venezia¨ made in similar style to ¨Patrick still lives¨ . Rating . 3.5/10. Below average, no for squeamish .

Ah, the wonders of exploitation cinema
For reasons incomprehensible to the normal-functioning human mind, director Mario Landi decided to make an extremely gory and sleazy Italian sequel to a tame and almost bloodless Australian thriller. "Patrick Still Lives" hence became one of the poorest and most pointless movies ever, with an ultra-thin and laughable storyline, absolutely no tension and secondhand sets & scenery. The good news, however, is that it also ranks as one of the sickest and most misogynistic productions ever, which then again makes the ultimate "wanna-have" for avid cult collectors. That's horror fan logic for ya! Professor and private-clinic owner Herschell is looking for the person responsible for his son's eternal coma and therefore he lures a bunch of weird people to his estate. Patrick lives like a vegetable but he can still count on his telekinetic powers to violently kill everyone within a close range and thus all the guests die in horrid ways, whether they're guilty of anything or not. These murders are clearly intended to come across as nasty and extremely mean-spirited but the make up effects are cheap, so the movie never at one point feels disturbing. The goofiest thing definitely is the complete lack of structure! The male character of which I thought he'd be the surviving hero is one the first to die and there isn't even a real ending to the story. In case the clinic location looks familiar to you, it means you watch way too many crappy movies like this! The same mansion was used in Andrea Bianchi's "Burial Ground". Both movies were scripted (if you can call it that) by Piero Regnoli and they also share a lead actress! Mariangela Giordano, who has a poker stuffed up her vagina, is the same woman whose boob got bitten off in "Burial Ground". Somehow, her entire career seems to revolve on her intimate parts! "Patrick Still Lives" is warmly recommended to all you sick puppies out there.
Mario Landi's PATRICK STILL LIVES is a weird little film that is weak on pretty much every level - but still manages to be entertaining and pretty fun to watch...
Patrick is the victim of an unfortunate (and kinda hilarious...)accident: while standing by the side of the road, he's randomly hit in the face with a bottle that a passing motorist chucks out of his window, leaving poor Patrick in a coma, but with telekinetic powers (!!??!!) Patrick's scientist father owns a villa with a lab in the basement where he conducts experiments to strengthen Patrick's mind powers so that he can one day seek revenge for his condition. Dad lures several people to his villa with the intention of letting vegetable-boy wreak some havoc. This eventually does happen and the results are pretty rewarding...
PATRICK STILL LIVES is a pretty good example of classic 70's/80's exploitation sleaze. Plenty of tits and ass (including a pretty hot masturbation scene from a sexy - if a little too "bushy" for my taste - blonde), and some decent gore, including: a man hung by his throat from a hook, a woman eaten by dogs, another woman decapitated but a car window, and the "famous" graphic vaginal-impalement-via-fire-poker. This one in particular is a keeper, as I was surprised that they showed this scene as "up-close and personal" as they did. PATRICK has some of the most ridiculous dialog ("It's obvious that Mr. Cough's cause of death was from a fatality..." (?????)), a retarded and threadbare plot, pretty stupid FX (the "floating-hypnotic-eyeballs" come to mind...), and atrocious acting. Regardless, or possibly because of these things, I still got a kick out of this one. I have a soft spot for these types of 70's/80's shock/schlock films - and this one is another perfect example. If you're looking for high-art, you can leave this one on the shelf. If you like tit's, ass, furry bush, and gore - I'd recommend this one pretty highly. 8/10

Where to start with this one? It's a kind of sequel to an Australian film called Patrick, which had a comatose man killing people telepathically. It's been years since I've watched that one but I don't remember it being the most action packed film. The Italian version of this certainly ups it in every department. And then some.
In this one, Patrick is with his father beside a broken down car when someone tosses a bottle from a passing car and hits Patrick directly in the face. As with most head injuries, this causes Patrick to fall into a coma, but also gives him psychic abilities. Don't worry, it gets even more absurd from here on in.
Patrick is now a vegetable staring into space, but also somehow hooked up to three people who are also in comas. If this was explained, I must have missed it, but what I reckon was these three were being used to somehow telepathically link Patrick up to...no, it's gone. Let's get to the victims instead.
Six people have been invited to this mysterious villa, and you'll hate all of them on site. There's the Cough family (that's what the subtitles say), who consist of an alcoholic politician and his top heavy wife, then there's Mariangela Giordano and her drug dealing boyfriend, and then there's a cool-headed stranger and last but not least, a blonde woman whom I thought actually worked for Patrick's dad, but upon reflection I don't have a clue.
Everyone's there for some reason, but there's no time to explain as everyone has to get naked first. Mrs Cough breaks out her fat rascals for no reason at all while Mariangela Giordano just goes straight ahead for some topless sunbathing, while making kissy faces at the stranger. The blonde isn't doing too well as Patrick seems to be hypnotising her and making her go to his room which eventually results in an eye-poppingly sleazy scene. Hey! You're not blonde at all!
This film is packed from start to finish with nudity (male and female) but wouldn't be worth watching if those horror elements weren't in there at all. Patrick starts bumping off the guests, starting with Mr Cough who gets boiled alive in a swimming pool, then things escalate to include impalements, beheadings, and Mariangela Giordani getting the Vlad the Impaler treatment. If you compare that with her death in Mario Landi's Giallo E Venezia, you'd be forgiven for thinking either Landi or Giodani had some sort of fetish. My money's on Gioradni, if we take in that scene from Burial Ground.
I'm guessing the only reason this gore splattered, nudity filled madness didn't get banned by the BBFC is because it probably wasn't released in the UK. It's crappily made, has terrible special effects, but still delivers 100% trash goodness.

Patrick still lives (1980)
It's meant to be some kind of Italy sequel./remake to 1978 Patrick movie
Partick talking to dad who in car and then passing car Thorws something out of it and makes his face bleed.
Which sends him into a coma and then start to use is power to kill off everyone with telekinetic powers in that same building were he is being kept.
This movie well, it didn't take to long start, the movie way to sleazy, far to much nudity in this movie, I don't mind some.
Some of death scene were decent and some very bloody ones and but with to much nudity and some-what gory deaths.
The movie was not creepy and 1978 one, Its spent to much time on others, I wanted more time with Patrick.
I didn't really like the eye effects in this movie at all,
5 out of 10
