However, if you are a fan of Rick's (as I am), it is a must-see. The music is the best part of the show, and once again Rick triumphs in this field! The song "Love Somebody" (performed in a concert sequence at the end of the film) makes the hour and a half long movie worth renting or buying.
They should have gotten the real Tony Bennett or just name a different old guy. She is way too easy. She can't have sex just after fake Tony Bennett. Girl, hold out for the real thing. I do like reversing the usual trope by making him do the walk of shame. He just needs to walk. It's a good start, but this is not well-written. The acting is fine for the most part. Springfield does a passable rock star although he's never been hard like that. He's a music and TV star. They want to make a movie star out of him. He shows his butt and plays some songs in a star vehicle. It's not the worst idea. They do need to play Jessie's Girl in one of the concerts.

- TriviaThe movie was not the cinema film debut of singer Rick Springfield who had previously portrayed Lieutenant Zac in the feature film Galactica: La bataille de l'espace (1978). This was despite the fact that film posters for the movie boasted slogans like "Rick Springfield in his motion picture debut".
- GoofsWhen Jamie sends flowers to Diana (at around 12 mins), they are pink and red, but when his road guy comes back with the refused flowers, they are yellow.

James Roberts: *Bully* for them? What kind of word is "bully"? What kind of music do you like?
Diana Lawson: Tony Bennett.
