A major star from The Book of Boba Fett – and the wider Mandalorian era – has confirmed whether they’ll make their big-screen Star Wars debut in next year’s The Mandalorian and Grogu. Seven years after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiered, Lucasfilm is hedging its bets and using its most successful live-action TV streaming series to push the franchise back into cinemas. The result is The Mandalorianand Grogu, which will reunite viewers with Din Djarin and Grogu after the events of The Mandalorian season 3.
Of course, Din’s and Grogu’s story is inextricably intertwined with another Mandalorian-era show, The Book of Boba Fett, which saw Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand take over Jabba the Hutt’s palace and criminal empire on Tatooine. Speaking with ScreenRant's Liam Crowley at the Karate Kid: Legends NYC premiere, Ming-Na Wen confirmed whether bounty hunter...

When it first came out back in 2019, The Mandalorian proved to be among the finer additions to the Star Wars lore, perfectly brought to the screens by Jon Favreau. Led by Pedro Pascal as the titular character, it has earned remarkable praise from fans and critics worldwide. In fact, even James Cameron couldn’t help but praise it.
Yet, while Cameron became one of the people shell-shocked by the cast’s performance, he was actually the most blown away by the one star who rarely gets any credit because Pascal seems to take home all the acclaim, being the face of the main character. This one star was none other than the one in Din Djarin’s suit, Brendan Wayne.

Gearbox Software’s highly anticipated Borderlands 4 has yet to hit store shelves, but it’s already knee deep in controversy. Last week, Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, picked a fight against the entire gaming community by saying that “real fans” would buy the game regardless of a $80 price tag.
This seems to have triggered a whole chain of reactions because the entire Borderlands trilogy has gotten review-bombed on Steam. But not just because of his words. Publisher Take-Two apparently made changes to the End User License Agreement for the games that didn’t sit well with fans. What is the next move for Take-Two and Gearbox?

Needless to say, remaking one of the greatest films of all time by arguably the greatest filmmaker of all time for an American crowd is a recipe for probable cinematic sacrilege. Add to this the fact that the American doing the remaking happens to be a director who’s already famously desecrated one classic of Asian cinema, and the prospects for Spike Lee’s “Highest 2 Lowest” appear rather dim from the outset. Fortunately, while his rehash of “Oldboy” was the work of a man clearly indifferent to his product, his reinterpretation of “High and Low” indicates a man who knew what made the original work, and what else could benefit from a modern update.
In a sense, “Highest 2 Lowest” can very well describe the trajectory of Lee’s entire career—a man who, over the course of his storied history, has made unimpeachable classics in between baffling misfires—but through it all,...

We're still a couple of weeks away from the release of Bring Her Back, but early reviews have hit Rotten Tomatoes to reveal that Talk to Me directors Danny and Michael Philippou seem to have another horror hit on their hands. Starring two-time Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Billy Barratt (Kraven the Hunter), Bring Her Back follows two siblings who uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother.
Debuting on Rotten Tomatoes with a 95%, Rocco T. Thompson from Slant Magazine says Bring Her Back "has a white-hot nerve of pain running inside it that burns right through the screen." Ross Bonaime from Collider echoes those sentiments, while also calling the Australian film one of the best horror flicks of the year:
"Bring Her Back captures the darkness and fear of losing someone, all while making one of the year's best horror films.

A franchise famously dubbed “weird” and “cringeworthy”, The Twilight Saga has somehow clawed its way back into the mainstream space- and it’s here to stay. In a major pop culture revival, Robert Pattinson’s most famous, and possibly most hated, film franchise has become the fresh talk of the town. Since the addition of Breaking Dawn- Part 2 to Netflix on May 1st, 2025, all five Twilight films have been available for streaming, and both old & new viewers can’t stop binge-watching.
This resurgence has helped the saga lead Netflix’s Top 10 charts for nearly one whole month. With billion-dollar returns and a diehard fandom that refuses to fade, Twilight is proving that even a franchise that’s been trolled and mocked for years can outlast criticism and flourish in the digital era.

From the moment the first Tom Hardy Venom movie was announced people wondered: Would this version of Venom square off with Spider-Man eventually? After all, their only big-screen battle had been in Spider-Man 3, and that variant of Venom wasn't very well received. People were very excited... and then it never happened.
The closest fans got to an actual crossover was in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the multiverse movie that united three Spideys. In the scene, Hardy's Eddie Brock is seen drinking at a bar, but when he gets sent back to his own universe, he leaves a bit of Venom symbiote behind. Many people were convinced this would lead to something in the future, but years passed and nothing ever came of it. Tom Holland's Spider-Man also took a break from the MCU for a while, though he has a movie coming up, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

When the “Tales” mini-series started to air every May the 4th, they felt like a gimmick to give the Lucasfilm Animation team a chance to revisit their favorite characters. In the years since, several of these shows have popped up, but with each year, Lucasfilm and the animation team push the boundaries of what is possible within their aesthetic and storytelling choices. With Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, they may have cracked the code for the best kinds of stories, with two of the best Dave Filoni-era characters the galaxy has ever seen. With two more phenomenal stories for Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld represents a new high watermark for the animated mini-series.

Sylvester Stallone’s Hunter Movie ( Photo Credit – Flickr )
Many years ago, veteran Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone acquired the film rights to a 1999 science fiction novel titled Hunter, written by James Byron Huggins. The Oscar-nominated actor-filmmaker purportedly intended to use the novel’s plot for ‘Rambo: Last Blood’. But later, the Rambo movie’s plot was changed to Rambo rescuing a girl from the clutches of a Mexican human trafficking gang, and it was released in 2019.
Even now, if Stallone somehow still makes the film, it could well be the grand theatrical comeback the Rocky actor must be hoping for. After delivering a critically acclaimed performance as Rocky Balboa in Creed II, the charismatic actor’s big-screen acting projects in the last few years have received a lacklustre response. He has starred in films like Backtrace, Escape Plan: The Extractors, Expend4bles, Armor, and Alarum, and all of them got not-so-encouraging feedback.

Nowadays, people think twice about going to the theater to watch a film they might not enjoy. While some titles might sound appealing, moviegoers decide to skip the whole ordeal and watch them at home on streaming, which might lead to certain films to bomb in theaters.
This was the case for several entries in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, including the last one, Kraven the Hunter. The only true successful franchise in the Ssu is Venom, but, for other films, the commercial part was often disappointing. Kraven the Hunter was the third entry in a year filled with Ssu titles, and now the superhero film is back in the charts on streaming after its success on Netflix, per FlixPatrol.
Although FlixPatrol doesn't reveal viewership numbers,Kraven the Hunter became a major hit on Max in Central and South America. It premiered on Apr. 26, and the next day it was already the No.

The hunt for the next James Bond rages on, and a new favorite has now emerged. Alongside the likes of The Gentlemen star Theo James, former Superman Henry Cavill, Slow Horses actor Jack Lowden, and Kraven the Hunter star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Enola Holmes and Pistol star Louis Partridge has seen his odds improve, as the action franchise potentially skews towards a younger 007 in its highly anticipated reboot.

During Venom: The Last Dance's final battle, there was a brief mention of a soldier called "Thompson" who appeared to have his legs bitten off by a rampaging Xenomorph.
We've heard that the plan was for Venom 4 to be an Agent Venom movie with a new lead, with the threequel's post-credits scene strongly hinting that the Symbiote had survived. However, the movie only did so-so numbers at the box office and, when Kraven the Hunter flopped, Sony abandoned its slate of spin-offs.
In the comics, Flash Thompson lost his legs while fighting for the U.S. Army in the Middle East. The military later bonded him with the Venom Symbiote - giving him his legs back, in the process - but only for limited amounts of time, lest he risk being permanently bonded to the alien.

The Event Quest Schedule is frequently updated to let Monster Hunter Wilds players know what quests are coming to the game and what rewards players will receive after completion of certain quests. The official website of Monster Hunter has revealed that on 23rd April, two Event Quests will go live that will allow players to gather Armor Spheres, which they can use to reach the maximum potential of their armors.
Recently, Capcom added a leaderboard-based event to Monster Hunter Wilds to rank players based on their fastest hunt times. The studio hoped that players would use their skills and strategy to take the top spot. However, the leaderboard is filled with hackers. Players are quite disappointed that Capcom isn’t implementing stronger systems to take down these cheaters.

Nobody does assassins better than Yoshihiro Togashi, and the Zoldyck Family from Hunter x Hunter is all the proof we need. Whether it’s the creepy, bloodthirsty killer like Illumi or the conscientious one like Zeno, the Zoldyck family has all sorts of assassins. Even though most of them have a cordial disposition, it’s difficult to be comfortable around their presence or trust them because of the threat they pose.
Every Zoldyck family member has numerous kills under their belts. But who is the strongest of them all? The obvious choices would be either Alluka or Zeno. However, there’s an even stronger Zoldyck member that we don’t know much about–Maha Zoldyck. Maha is undoubtedly the strongest Zoldyck warrior, but if you’re struggling to remember who he is, here’s everything you need to know!
The Zoldyck powerhouse explained
Fans’ introduction to the Zoldyck Family in Hunter x Hunter was Killua.

Dragon Ball is a legacy series, but the world around it has changed in the past few decades. The author of the Dragon Ball Super series, Toyotarou, has never hidden his admiration for Western animation.
In a candid interview, he confessed he’s more inspired by movies than manga, with a particular fondness for Disney, Marvel, and Pixar. This might seem strange, considering the uniqueness of Japanese storytelling, even more so when it is the lead artist of Dragon Ball Super, a tale that is set in its Japanese roots.
But for those who’ve followed the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc closely (more popularly known as the Moro Arc), the Western influences on Toyotarou’s work are apparent in the entire feel and direction of the arc.

Dragon Ball and Hunter x Hunter might not be cut from the same cloth, but Akira Toriyama’s manga has had its influence on every renowned mangaka out there. Yoshihiro Togashi is no exception to this. The author has always been vocal about how Dragon Ball has influenced his works.
In fact, Togashi also drew an adorable rendition of Dragon Ball manga’s fifth volume cover. In it, an adorable Goku can be seen on a red bike, with Gon right behind him. But it was this illustration of the two iconic characters together that made me realize the potential that Dragon Ball has as a political thriller.

Netflix's weekly Top 10 lists are always worth a look, not least of all because they often reveal truly unexpected gems that the streaming platform has managed to resurrect. For example, FlixPatrol is reporting that "Alpha" (a film that was absolutely overlooked upon its initial release) made it onto Netflix's Top 10 in multiple countries on April 6, 2025, and has continued to chart in much of the world in the week since then.
Directed and co-written by Albert Hughes, "Alpha" is a 2018 survival adventure in which an injured Ice Age-era young man is separated from his tribe and has to team up with a similarly inconvenienced wolf to stay alive. Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, the movie is an entertaining and exciting adventure in a relatively uncommon live-action setting. As such, it's good to see that streaming has given this largely forgotten film a new chance to find its audience.

Prime Video has confirmed a series green light for Carrie, a TV series based on the Stephen King novel. Mike Flanagan is the writer, executive producer and showrunner, and will direct select episodes. Trevor Macy also executive produces.
The series came together quickly, with Flanagan opening a writers room in late fall. The eight-episode project also has been quietly casting, with relative newcomer Summer H. Howell (Hunter Hunter) in negotiations for the title character, Carrie White, and Siena Agudong (Resident Evil) set as her nemesis, Sue Snell.
Carrie is described as a reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden death, Carrie finds herself contending with the challenges of attending high school, a bullying scandal and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.

Wednesday is returning for a second season on Netflix, with Jenna Ortega back on the scene as the show's creepy, kooky, and altogether ooky teen detective. She will be joined by several familiar faces from the first season, plus a slew of new series regulars and guest stars, but Nevermore Academy has at least one less student in its ranks this season. Percy Hynes White, who faced sexual assault allegations in 2023, previously confirmed that he wouldn't be returning as Xavier Thorpe for another year and that the series has moved on without him.
White's Xavier Thorpe featured heavily in the first season of Wednesday and was poised to play a significant role in the show's sophomore run, as he was one of Wednesday Addams' two romantic interests, alongside Hunter Doohan's Tyler Galpin, leaving fans to wonder how Season 2 would address the sudden absence of one of its main characters. Among the many interesting characters in Hunter x Hunter, Phantom Troupe is one of the most infamous and enigmatic groups. Known for their ruthless efficiency and distinct personalities, the Troupe has a mix of fan-favorite characters like Feitan, Hisoka (a former member), and Uvogin, each one with its own distinct personality to make them unforgettable.
However, the leader of the Troupe, Chrollo Lucilfer, usually proves to be a divisive figure among fans. Many people claim that Chrollo lacks the same emotional complexity and charm as other primary villains in Hunter x Hunter.

Despite having been one of the chosen few to headline the James Bond franchise, Pierce Brosnan can see truth in the recent criticisms made about the film series by fellow acclaimed actor Helen Mirren. Brosnan admits a "certain agreement" with Mirren over the franchise's alleged sexism, but believes there will "always be conflict" due to author/creator Ian Fleming's original vision for it.
Speaking with People, Brosnan addressed Mirren's recent critiques, claiming she never liked the James Bond franchise because the character and film series were rooted in sexism and misogyny. According to the British actor, Mirren "let them have it" with her sharp jabs at the James Bond movies and appreciated her stance. "She let them have it," he said. "No, we didn't talk about that. Not at all. Yes, there's a certain agreement there."

Few celebrities in Hollywood have the dynamic that Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have. While the industry has seen many iconic friendships bloom over the years, the verbal and physical comedy of the two actors can be studied, being responsible for some very hilarious interactions over the years.
It is because of this unique dynamic that fans enjoy seeing them star in the same film time and time again. The stars have worked together on five films, ranging from Central Intelligence to The Fast and the Furious franchise. However, Jumanji films have to be the most iconic moments of their career.

Monster Hunter Wilds has had the biggest launch ever in the franchise’s history and is easily the most successful game in Capcom’s series. But that doesn’t mean that it has no issues. From optimization to difficulty, we have some bones to pick with Capcom. But today, let’s look at the difficulty part of the problem.
The game is simply easier than a lot of us expected. And we see this clearly in the case of Zoh Shia, the final boss of Low Rank.
The fight is just too easy right now. | Image Credit: @JasonDunna/YouTube
Despite its menacing design and size, the fight is a cakewalk. And since Capcom is making Zoh Shia farmable, the fight will feel pointless unless there’s added difficulty to it.

Robert De Niro has starred in some of the greatest movies ever made, and even after 60 years, his career has no end in sight. From The Godfather: Part II to The Irishman, De Niro never turns in a bad performance, and in the early 1970s, De Niro made a name for himself by pairing up with director Martin Scorsese. However, it was the actor's team-up with director Michael Cimino for the film The Deer Hunter that was a game-changer in a world coping with the Vietnam War.
The Deer Hunter follows three working-class men before, during, and after serving in the Vietnam War. Mike Vronsky, Steven Pushkov, and Nikanor "Nick" Chevotarevich are Russian-Americans who live in a small steel mill town of Claritan, Pennsylvania. The film begins with Steven's wedding, taking place a mere couple of days before he ships off to Vietnam with Mike and Nick.

As an S-Rank Hunter, Cha Hae-In is one of the strongest Hunters in Solo Leveling. She is a master swordsman with enhanced physical abilities. Her dance-like movements can overwhelm most opponents, and she can cut through S-Rank monsters by transforming her sword into light. It's true Hunter Cha can clear high-level Dungeons by herself, but there are several villains from other anime series who can easily crush her in combat.
Most of these anime villains are not human, and several of them possess extraordinary regenerative abilities that would render Cha's attacks meaningless. Some of these villains are human, though, and one villain is part of an actual God. Each of these anime villains can crush Hunter Cha with their overpowered abilities and immense strength.

Since the second season of the Solo Leveling anime series started, fans have been appreciating every moment of it, except the one aspect that is getting a lot of criticism and hate. This aspect is the anime series’ habit of trimming significant scenes from the episode in order to make it fit within the timeline and the number of episodes assigned for the season.

There have been many instances where the manhwa fans have pointed out the removal of major scenes from the anime that might not be essentially important for the story, but still were anticipated by a huge chunk of the fanbase. And now, the fans fear that the creators might do the same with a big scene involving Go Gunhee.

There is no denying that Tatsuki Fujimoto did a great job in introducing the concept of Devils in Chainsaw Man, dividing them into three major categories: Devils, Fiends, and hybrids. But with so many characters based on this concept, have you ever thought about what makes the Devil-human hybrid Chainsaw so special?

Well, it’s his consumption of other Devils that makes him different from other supernatural entities in the anime/manga. While all Devils consumed blood and other devils to gain power and heal injuries, the powerful devil hunter in Fujimoto’s story consumed them to erase their existence entirely. So is there a hidden dark secret behind the artist’s concept of Chainsaw Man?
Does Tatsuki Fujimoto’s concept of Chainsaw Man have metaphysical implications?

Hunter x Hunter fans probably can’t help but notice the glaring similarities between the Chimera Ant arc and Solo Leveling’s ant invasion (Jeju Island raid). The level of ‘inspiration’ taken is mind-boggling, what started as a one-episode homage now feels like an uninspired copy, dragging on for multiple episodes.

There is no doubt that some kind of emphasis is required when it comes to the overpowered ant king’s introduction, but there is little to no change between the two series. The violent rampage and even the way he emerges all point to the Chimera Ant arc, but with none of the depth or emotional weight.
No moral complexity, just mindless carnage
In Hunter X Hunter, the Chimera Ant arc is possibly the most emotionally impactful with Neferpitou, one of the Ant King’s generals, killing Kite, a former hunter and Gon’s mentor,...

The Solo Leveling anime series is recently trending even more because of the beginning of the Jeju Island arc. The arc features a raid, which is one of the most significant moments in the history of Solo Leveling’s story and for all hunters, especially those from Japan and Korea. However, the one issue with the Jeju Island arc is that it portrays Sung Jinwoo in a negative light in the beginning.

The reason behind this is that he initially rejects the raid and willingly lets other hunters face the dangers of the monstrous ants, which ultimately leads to the death and injury of most of them. And while he eventually joins the raid and saves the hunters of Korea, it doesn’t justify him letting others die when he could have easily saved them all and avoided the casualties that happened in Solo Leveling.

Kraven the Hunter, the last entry in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (Ssu), has officially landed a streaming home. The infamous film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the iconic Spider-Man villain, marking Kraven's official live-action debut--and it couldn't have been more disappointing. Superhero fans everywhere united to make fun of the underwhelming origin film which, like its fellow entries of the Ssu, feels like a throwback to an earlier age of comic book movies in all the worst ways. A mere month after leaving theaters, Kraven the Hunter is now officially streaming on Netflix alongside several other maligned entries in Sony's franchise.
Kraven the Hunter debuted to an embarrassing 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, earned devastatingly low figures at the box office, and generally fell out of memory in a matter of days.
