    Excellent Australian Humour Movie!

I saw this movie in 1984. My mates and I absolutely love it. The only problem is we cant find a copy of it in Australia anymore. If anyone reads this and knows where I can find a copy of it please let me know. What is surprising is the number of good actors in the movie. Forget that it looks like it was made with a hand held video camera. Two blokes win a weekend away to the snow, car hire and glove box full of cash included. They are typical Australian characters. Probably help you are already pretty drunk before actually watching the movie. If you are not too fussy about quality, script, visuals etc then grab a copy. then when you are done send it to me.

    Stands out as a classic.

I first watched this film when I was quite young, and have to say that it remains one of my all time favourite comedies. It's expected to be said that if you like ski-ing, and would like to watch a film about ski-ing then this is well worth watching. Don't listen to anyone bad mouthing this film, you have to watch and appreciate it.

    Typical Australian humour.

    Snow-a no show

I can't believe eight writers worked on this s**t. Stick to acting Mr Argue, cause this bombed out attempt of comedy, that only offers a few laughs, less than tasteless comics in their moment of standup, goes nowhere. You know why-because there's no frickin' story. Argue who works on the ice rink, wins a car in a competition, so him and his dimwitted mate head to the snow. They make real a**es of themselves out there on the alps and inside the hotel lodge, as with these two hotties, not even acting, speaking as though, they're in reality, where you'd much rather be in, than this film. Thank god, at least we have Peter Moon, his presence, the best moments of this mess, as a sleazy manager, running the motel, trying to score with our hotties, and I guess you can imagine how that works out. The best thing about this, is it's beaty song at the end of the film, as well as it's end, 73 minutes too late, as it so happens. This crap, makes '84's Hot Dog-the movie, look superior.

Don't touch this movie with a ten foot barge pole

Last week my local video store shut down, and being a fan of both skiing and 'bad' comedies as many of them have been labelled (esp old and new school SNL films) & from the cover this film looked distracting if not cinematically brilliant. What followed was almost 40 minutes (I gave up after that point) of the worst, least amusing, waste of film that I have ever sat through. The filming was pathetic, the script was perhaps the worst and least coherent I've ever witnessed and even if you love these films, this crosses the line between funny bad and stomach turning, heart wrenchingly, uncomfortable on your favourite couch bad. In one word PATHETIC. leave this film, burn this film, aviod this film forever.

We remember the good old days at falls creek

Me and the boys love this movie, brings back good fun old time memories of falls creek. As we were lucky enough to have a copy of this movie ,we still get together and watch it each year before we head up to the Victorian alps for a ski. Understandably you need to have a good sense of humor to appreciate this movie and a few drinks will also help, but at the end of the day its a old time Aussie movie about two Aussie mates heading up to the snow to have some fun, cause some trouble, and yes try and pick up chicks. This movie won't win any awards ,well good ones anyway, but if you can appreciate and remember the early 80s ski scene in Australia and you were lucky enough to have good crazy mates to live through it with you will probably enjoy this movie and have a laugh.
