Excellent TV show

This was a great short lived TV show. This pilot episode is now included on the DVD set, with all 13 original episodes, made available from timeless media. The prints are slightly scratched, but still legible. Rod Taylor plays Evan Thorpe, a Chicago farmer taking his family along the Oregon trail to Oregon in 1842. This show had great stories and lots of excellent guest stars like Bill Bixby, Mariette Hartley, William Shatner, Donna Mills, and many many more. The cast was slightly changed between the pilot and the actual 1 hour shows, but the premise stayed the same. I give this show *****
