All David Fincher Movies Ranked
Image
There are things that define the styles of various filmmakers. While the atmosphere of a David Fincher film is always new and darker than the previous one, there are certain roots that he touches now and again. The uniqueness and genius of David Fincher, however, isn’t being a better version of a M. Night Shyamalan or being a filmmaker inspired by a certain Alfred Hitchcock; it’s in being and making something that stands on its own. He doesn’t weave around expositions and makes solid ground with the written work in his hands. He believes in his writers and the actors involved, and he squeezes them till the last drop of perfection.

Jason Statham’s John Wick Replacement 'The Beekeeper' Demolishes Competition on Streaming
Image
A popular movie is going to remain popular regardless of where it's exhibited. Director David Ayer's The Beekeeper, in many ways his comeback film, proved to be a box office hit when it debuted theatrically in 2024. It was a fixture on the Prime Video charts for months in a row. And now, having debuted on HBO Max, the movie wasted no time in jumping straight to the top of the rankings. According to FlixPatrol, The Beekeeper was the fourth-most-watched movie on HBO Max worldwide on August 11. Meanwhile, a sequel with Jason Statham set to return is in the works.

On August 11, The Beekeeper took the number four spot on HBO Max's global viewership rankings, behind The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and Final Destination Bloodlines. Directed by Guy Ritchie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was a Prime Video favorite as well, before it debuted on HBO Max.

Cartoon Network is Basically Dead.
Image
Cartoon Network’s decline in 2025 marks a fading legacy, with the channel shrinking amid streaming shifts and Comcast’s latest move.

The Tl;Dr… Current Struggle: Down to 66 million U.S. households, with reduced hours and content scattered across Hulu, Netflix, and Max. Rich History: Launched in 1992, it shaped kids’ TV with classics like The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time. Decline Timeline: Hit by viewership drops, studio closures, and content purges since the 2010s. Comcast Move: Dropped from core TV packages on August 12, 2025, now a $9.95 add-on. Legacy Lost: The iconic brand is overshadowed by cost-cutting and a streaming focus.

Cartoon Network, as we’ve known it, is basically toast.

If you grew up with Cartoon Network (Cn) as your animated escape—marathoning Dexter’s Laboratory after school or losing hours to Adventure Time’s quirky worlds—it’s tough to watch it fade into the background. The network that turned...

How to Train Your Dragon Star Not Happy With Tom Holland Playing Ben 10 in Remake Speculations
Image
How to Train Your Dragon is one of the most coveted and anticipated live-action adaptations of all time. For years, the original series has held a special place in the hearts of the fans. So much so that the world was terrified when it was announced that it would be adapted into a live-action film. While audiences were expecting some mess-up to ruin the film’s memory for them, the project has done no such thing.

Being a shot-for-shot remake of the original, audiences couldn’t have asked for a better adaptation of their favorite film. While this has been excellent, there are many other classic children’s cartoons that could use the same treatment, with the perfect example being that of Ben 10.

When the cast of the latest film was asked about Tom Holland potentially playing this character, they had extreme reactions, and the Spider-Man actor may not like them.

The Plague Review: When Childhood Becomes a Test of Conscience
Image
The Plague, Charlie Polinger’s debut feature, premiered in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard sidebar in 2025. Set in the sweltering summer of 2003, it follows 12-year-old Ben (Everett Blunck) as he navigates the rigid pecking order of an elite water polo camp. Polinger (writer-director) and cinematographer Steve Breckon conjure an aquatic netherworld—slow-motion dives become rites of initiation—while Johan Lenox’s score underscores the psychic frictions beneath youthful bravado.

At the heart lies a fabricated malady: “the plague,” a supposed contagion marked by pimples that binds the group’s unwritten code. Touch Eli (Kenny Rasmussen), the outcast, and you must scrub yourself raw—an absurd ritual that mirrors witch-hunt dynamics in broader society. The film’s coming-of-age drama and psychological horror merge into a single current, carrying us from casual cruelty to visceral dread.

Blunck’s Ben oscillates between craving acceptance and recoiling at groupthink; Kayo Martin’s Jake wields observation like a scalpel,...

“I also want this other guy”: Mike Schur Made NBC Hire 1 Actor Who Made ‘Parks and Rec’ Infinitely Better
Image
Making a splash in the world of sitcoms isn’t the easiest thing to do, and not everyone can pull off the level of comedic elements that are required to make a sitcom successful. But brainbox producer cum writer Mike Schur, for one, impeccably proved he had what it took to make an affluent comedy series by curating an unforgettable masterpiece like Parks & Recreation.

Not only did he bring about a series that worked perfectly fine with its plots, but it was also one that had some of the best and most loved characters ever, portrayed by all the right actors. So, when it came to the casting choices, showrunner Schur even ostensibly made NBC hire an actor along with one other, both of whom made the series infinitely better.

Will Smith is hitting the road this summer, trading red carpets for rap beats as he embarks on a European tour to promote his first album in two decades. But while he’s stepping back into the spotlight, one person who won’t be stepping onto the tour bus is his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

Drake Dials Up A Win: Nokia Rings In At #1, Surpassing Kendrick Lamar In Chart-Topping Showdown
Image
Is Drake’s Nokia Topping The Charts?(Photo Credit –Instagram/Facebook)

Drake has flipped the script just at the right time. Just when critics thought the storm surrounding him might slow his momentum, his latest single, Nokia, punched through the noise, snatching the top spot on Apple’s Music Global Chart and bumping Kendrick Lamar off center stage, per Collider.

The track, released on Valentine’s Day alongside his collaborative album with Partynextdoor, is anything but a love letter to his rap rival. Instead, it’s a pulsating throwback with an 80s R&b flair and club-ready tempo, crafted more for late-night vibes than lyrical warfare.

Drake’s Party Anthem Over Punchlines

Ironically, Drake’s track now turning heads and topping charts carries no direct shot at Kendrick, despite the ongoing feud that’s fueled headlines and fan theories alike. Instead, the Canadian seems to be stepping away from the diss track arena,...

All David Fincher Movies Ranked
David Fincher
There are things that define the styles of various filmmakers. While the atmosphere of a David Fincher film is always new and darker than the previous one, there are certain roots that he touches now and again. The uniqueness and genius of David Fincher, however, isn’t being a better version of a M. In Glen Powellwe trust. Pair the Twisters and Top Gun: Maverick star with filmmaker, Edgar Wright, in a movie based on a Stephen King novel and — in the words of the late, great Carl Weathers — baby, you’ve got a stew going. Today, CinemaCon attendees were invited to try a taste of that stew (have we taken it too far?) thanks to a special update during Paramount’s presentation that included some piping-hot information about the upcoming action-packed thriller, The Running Man.

In the footage played at the convention, Glen Powell’s Ben is approached by Josh Brolin’s bad guy, who knows that he’s in a desperate position and in dire need of money for his family. Spider-noir Star Believes Upcoming TV Series Starring Nic Cage Could Be Released In Black And White
Image
Spider-Noir remains in production and, if the set photos we've seen are any indication, the web-slinger's first TV series will put a unique new spin on Spider-Man.

Screen icon Nicolas Cage plays Ben Reilly, a private eye who moonlights as a superhero. We've seen him swinging into action on set, suggesting the series will be very much in line with the comics, even though those featured Peter Parker under the mask. Why Spider-Noir is named after his clone hasn't been made clear.

Lukas Haas has landed a mystery role in the show and, during a recent interview with Coming Soon, suggested the series could be released in black and white as well as colour.

"It was just an incredible project," he told the site. "Everybody involved was amazing. Brendan Gleason, he plays my boss. Just getting to, to do that noir thing. It was very genuine film noir, the way they filmed it,...

Kevin Smith’s ‘Archie’ Crossover Has the Opportunity to Payoff a 28-Year-Old Joke
Image
Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob characters are famous for popping up in movies like Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma. But the stoner duo also exist within the fictional worlds of Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Scream franchise, as evidenced by the most baffling moment from Scream 3.

But now Jay and Bob are set to crossover with a most unexpected pop-culture property: Archie. Per The Hollywood Reporter, an upcoming “double-sized” comic book titled Kevin Smith Presents: Archie Meets Jay & Silent Bob will find the Riverdale gang crossing paths with the residents of the View Askewniverse — and presumably learning some new four-letter words in the process.

Weirder still, the book takes place after the events of Clerks III, in which (spoiler) protagonist Dante Hicks dies of a heart attack. According to Smith, who penned the comic, “Archie plays a role in the healing (process),” adding, “not only...

This 22-Year-Old Cartoon Network Classic Is Begging for a Mature Reboot
Image
During the early 2000s, Cartoon Network boasted an embarrassment of riches in terms of the volume of high-quality shows on its platform. Cult classic series like Teen Titans, The Powerpuff Girls, Codename: Kids Next Door, Samurai Jack, and Ed, Edd, n Eddy were daily fixtures on the network, delivering round-the-clock entertainment to its largely Gen Z audience. Beloved series such as Johnny Test, Total Drama Island, Totally Spies, Chowder and Ben 10 also helped establish Cartoon Network's golden age. While most Cartoon Network series carry a lighthearted, playful tone, there is one series with a hilariously dark origin story that surprisingly became a network favorite — The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is an animated television series created by Maxwell Atoms for Cartoon Network. The series is centered around the exploits of Billy (Richard Steven Horvitz), an idiotic and happy-go-lucky boy; Mandy (Grey DeLisle), a deadpan,...

Every Comic Book Easter Egg in Shangri-La Frontier Episode 47
Image
Shangri-La Frontier is one of the most popular anime currently streaming. The popular series relies heavily on its video game elements and features several VR games within it. The most recent edition, Galaxia Heroes: Chaos, is a game based on Super Heroes, with many references to characters and concepts from popular comic books. One of the most prominent villains in the game, Yggdrya is extremely similar to Poison Ivy from DC Comics. Although no single character from the imagined Galaxia Heroes is a direct rip-off from real-life comics, there are many influences. There are also plenty of original characters as well, like Ranzo.

One of the most prevalent comic references is the use of the Ben-Day dots shading style. This modern-art staple was heavily used in early comic books and has become synonymous with the medium. Studio C2C honored this style and made sure it was prevalent in...

Lady Gaga Unleashes Inner Theater Kid in Best ‘SNL’ Musical Episode in Years
Image
The Saturday Night Live “host who doubles as musical guest” doesn’t have a great track record. Sure, we get the occasional Ariana Grande showing off her Nick Kid chops, but more often we’re subjected to one-dimensional pop stars looking to cross over into acting careers. Can Bad Bunny, Halsey or Charli Xcx conquer new worlds? Usually not. Sometimes they’re okay, but okay shouldn’t be the bar. Isn’t being Jack Harlow enough? Does Megan Thee Stallion have to prove she’s Megan Thee Comedian?

But sometimes, we’re treated to someone like Lady Gaga. Fresh off her Worst Actress Razzie nomination for Joker: Folie à Deux, Gaga fronted one of SNL50’s best episodes of the season. While none of the sketches were instant classics, SNL served up a consistently satisfying show by leaning on the host’s ability to channel the fizziest, most talented kid in the high school musical.

Vertigo Remake Writer Steven Knight Says He Is an Idiot for Doing It
Image
Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thriller of 1958, Vertigo, is considered one of the greatest films in cinema history. The movie starring James Stewart and Kim Novak is often hailed as the director's unparalleled masterpiece, despite the mixed reception it had when it was released. As decades passed, it received a complete reevaluation until achieving the status it still holds today. Remaking it seems as pointless as remaking The Godfather, but it does seem to be happening - and even the movie's writer is aware of how ridiculous it is.

Steven Knight, the screenwriter behind films like the thriller Dirty Pretty Things, the biopic Spencer and the 2024 Angelina Jolie film Maria, jokingly agrees that he is "an idiot" for attempting the impossible in taking on remaking the classic thriller. However, it hasn't stopped him from thinking about remaking Hitchcock's Technicolor classic. "It's swirling around in my head as we speak," he...

Ben Affleck Ghosting Jennifer Lopez While Finding Comfort In Jennifer Garner? (Photo Credit – Koimoi)

Ben Affleck has had enough. The actor, 52, is reportedly dodging calls and messages from his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, after getting frustrated by what he sees as her not-so-subtle jabs at him on social media. As Lopez, 55, seemingly airs her emotions online, Affleck has been finding comfort in someone much more familiar: his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Jennifer Lopez’s Social Media Hints Are Getting On Ben Affleck’s Nerves

According to Radar Online, sources close to the situation say Ben Affleck was particularly irked when Lopez posted a cryptic Instagram post on Valentine’s Day about “self-love doesn’t cost a thing.” Even though the pop icon never mentioned names, the timing and wording had fans speculating it was a veiled reference to him. For Affleck, it was just another reminder of why their dynamic was never meant to last.

“This looks like a romcom not a series”: Canceled CW Powerpuff Girls Show Trailer Is Bad, Why Would Even Agents of Shield Star Chloe Bennet Agree To This?
Image
Millennials around the world must remember how awesome Powerpuff Girls was. The animated show used to rule kids’ hearts for a healthy part of the early 2000s. While that generation has all grown up, it wouldn’t have come as a shock that the show would have many takers.

After all, the only thing that sells as much as an original childhood movie or series is the project made with the intention of milking the fanbase. Sadly, sometimes things can go awfully wrong. Chloe Bennett & Co. found that out the hard way.

Powerpuff Girls live-action adaptation did not see the light of day Powerpuff Girls commands a lot of love from millennials || Cartoon Network

When CW announced its decision to bring to life a live-action adaptation of the hit toon series, fans around the world were excited (and somewhat worried as well). It isn’t every day that you happen...

William Wyler
The Scene That Moved Charlton Heston Most In ‘Ben-Hur’
William Wyler
Image Source: Warner Bros Few films have captivated audiences quite like Ben-Hur. Directed by the talented William Wyler, this sweeping epic claimed an incredible 11 Oscars at the 1960 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Charlton Heston. It’s easy to see why this masterpiece holds a spot on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest movies of all time. For many, the chariot race is the moment that defines Ben-Hur. This gripping, action-filled sequence has become one of cinema’s most iconic scenes—and for good reason. But the film is much more than its breathtaking visuals. At its core, Ben-Hur is a powerful story about justice, redemption, and unshakeable faith. Anchoring the narrative is Charlton Heston’s iconic portrayal of Judah Ben-Hur, a role that remains as stirring and meaningful today as it was decades ago. When we had the chance to sit...
