    Standard Boxing Story

Auto mechanic William Collier Jr. Thinks he can pick up an easy $25 at the carnival by staying three rounds with the tank fighter. He can't. But he trains, and the next time he not only stays the rounds, he lays the fighter out flat. So the guys who run the concession offer to take him on. This allows him to marry sweetheart Josephine Dunn. A rich man sees him and backs him in the prize ring. He wins the championship an gold digger Natalie Moorhead. This makes Miss Dunn, who has fallen pregnant, vanish.

Director Fred Newmeyer handles the usual story ok, but the picture comes alive on the carnival grounds. Collier is good playing a clueless character, and at a brisk 70 minutes this movie is a pretty good Poverty Row time-filler.
