I love Vampire and roleplaying streams, but this is something else. This is more akin to an improvisation theater, but the actors are tied down to the table, telling how they do their actions. You never get to know the actors - I don't think they even GET to go out-of-character, everything is just... stale. It gets real cringey when the sobbing starts, since they act out character emotions, but the player's sitting at a table.
The show has charming characters, good actors, and a cool story, but I'd rather have the actors do roleplaying with friends, rather than try to be completely, professionally in-character.

I have been watching the show since the first day it came out. I love it! It had everything I would expect on a Vampire The Masquerade Chronicle. My favorite character is Annabel, and Erika does a great job impersonating her! Please, continue doing what you are doing. It is fabulous!
LA by Night is an absolute gem in the genre of dramatic "actual play" streamed game content, and outside of it's genre. It is as good as the finest scripted stage drama, however it is 95% all improv and character based as the storyteller guides the narrative. That may sound unusual or confusing to those not familiar with shows or games of this nature, but what I am getting at is that it is a remarkable achievement of high drama.
Vampire the Masquerade has captivated table top gamers, writers, storytellers and actors for over 25 years. It is rich with Machiavellian politics and plots. The game just going through it's fifth edition is showcased brilliantly by LA by Night due to the superb acting and chemistry of the ensemble cast. Jason Carl the Storyteller is unparalleled in his acting, narration and direction. He is the Neil Gaiman of oral storytelling and a true delight to watch.
I highly recommend this show. 10/10

As someone who has never played an RPG, I was incredibly impressed to see this cast play live at a recent panel at Wondercon. After watching a few episodes online, I'm now truly inspired to dive into this incredible world of gaming. What I love about this story, is that the cast really focuses heavily on bringing the characters to life in a way I haven't seen before in a table-top RPG. I love how B. Dave Walters, who plays Victor, reacts in such a seamless, natural way, to everything that happens. This is a cast with strong Improv and acting skills. Jason Carl brings a really great vibe as a storyteller, and is superb at pacing and controlling the flow of the story. This is absolutely so much fun to watch!
