This movie absolutely has some flaws but hey what movie doesn't?? The most important take away from this film is that it would fail MISERABLY without Heather Michelle's portrayal of Charlie. This is the first I've ever seen her and what a talent!! She is superb and I would absolutely love to see a sequel or spin-off of this where it's ONLY about Charlie. Forget the boring science and annoyances of Cece and just give us a hard hitting, "take no prisoners" film about Charlie... that movie would do amazingly. In all I did enjoy watching the movie but found myself only caring about Charlie from the get go. Definitely worth a watch to witness Ms. Michelle before she explodes into the Star that she already is. I'm giving Charlie the 10 stars here!
Their are two main stars of this movie. One, Charlie, is a singer and detective, int he sense that they have no idea what the police are like and so acts in weird stereotypical TV detective nonsense ways. The other, CeCe, is supposed to be an important physicist, with an even more absurd notion of what a physicist would be. There is crazy woo-woo nonsense that's even more absurd than normal for the New Age crowd that the character accepts uncritically. ("You must have seen another dimension! Because that totally makes sense! And so the guy you saw kill people is in an alternate reality, and you therefore totally have no reason to be worried about this reality's version, honestly!!!") None of this makes a bit of sense, but, to make it worse, they toss in a wildly over the top feminist rant at the exact same time we are showing extended amounts of wildly gratuitous nudity. ("Let's exploit these actresses while we have them preach about not willing to be exploited! We're so smart!") And they toss in a a music video for no reason other than to make viewers think they are cool. This is just awful. Avoid, Not even so bad it's good, just bad.
Good mystery with a very compelling final 1/3 of the movie. Some of the actors were very good, including Heather Michelle and the fellow who played Jordan, but a couple of others gave inconsistent performances.
It impressed me in this respect: this movie packed more "terrible" into its two-minute trailer than most terrible movies can accomplish in two hours.
And I was barely able to make it through both minutes. My hat is off to anyone who survives 81 of them about this film noir feminist physicist and her bohunk detective sidekick.
At least Adam Braunstein and Brandon J. Shaw are easy to look at.

Need to start off by saying Heather Michelle as Charlie Black is the absolute best part of this film and I would be so bold as to say that the film would have failed horribly without her. I haven't seen her before this film and absolutely cannot wait to see her in other projects. She has amazing acting abilities and makes Charlie the instant favorite. She brings her to life in a way that the rest of the cast fails to match. Also, really enjoyed Jorden and thought his last scene was fabulous. The music is completely perfect for the film and having Heather also perform worked wonders for this movie. Although the one who played Cece is rather annoying I thought she did an ok job and found that it was more of a "character problem" than an "actor problem." I found the film to be a lot of fun and definitely different from anything else I've seen which is a HUGE plus. I promise you- you won't be sorry if you give this film a watch especially if you look past some of the annoyances that Cece brings. Bravo to the director for giving us the amazing character that is Charlie.
