There are quite a few low budget World War 2 films and for some reason, they all feel the same... regardless of Country or Origin, Bad Acting, Bad Sets, Historical Inaccuracies and scripts that should have gone in the bin rather than into production. This is no exception.
Think there was only 3 or 4 scenes throughout the whole film. The actors act like they were on a pantomime stage rather than a film set. Everything was Soooooo slow as well, it was worse than bad.
Please, don't waste your time like I did, you'll never get it back.

Any movie about the SS would have us thinking they were all loyal and faithful soldiers who never questioned the cause. This movie will make you question that stereotype. I can see why such poor reviews would be given. There are no broad scenes with hundreds of victims like you would see in Schindler's List. In fact, the sets are so small and confined to small rooms that the movie could easily be an off Broadway play with an acting staff of less than a dozen. But there is so much whispering in the movie (for good reason) that it would have to be a movie just to capture the dialogue. Don't seek an action blood and guts movie here, but it's an important addition to your watch list if you want a glimpse into a real possible life of a soldier.
It may not be a Schindler's List but it's not meant to be. The camera work was very good, the story well written, the acting very appropriate for the time of the story. As it states at the end this was a fictional story, however based on actual events during WW2.
In reading many of the other reviews I feel they are either uneducated or just plain stupid to think this torturous time never happened. I was born 2 years before this war ended and during my life I have known quite a few people who went through those terrible times.
Let's hope we never see anything like this again, or maybe we need to so those who wrote such disgusting reviews will get to experience what life and death can really be like.
Thank you Amazon for bringing this movie out for us to see.

For starters, why in earth do the actors speak english with a very bad german accent. That fact alone makes it unwatchable. I think that if the movie was spoken in german, it would have been way better to watch. The story an sich is not badly told but the actors lack charisma.
Whoever has rated this about 1 must have been involved with the production in some way it is seriously hurrendous, do not waste your time with this rubbish, if I could rate this -10 I would do
