I might've appreciated this a bit more if I hadn't seen Help for the Holidays first. This is basically a rewrite of the previous Hallmark movie with barely religious overtones; God and Michael instead of Santa and an angel instead of an elf, the rest was basically the same. It was saved from a lower score by Rachel Boston (especially) and Paul Greene. Beau Bridges was good some of the time but other scenes I felt he was just calling it in. I prefer this to Help for the Holidays but mostly because it makes more sense to have an angel in the supernatural helper role than one of Santa's elves but they are mostly interchangeable.

Charming!

Hallmark movies and mysteries a more complex and this no exception: more depth in the characters and storylines. Rachel Boston truly delivered an amazing performance: her character's optimism was contagious.

The chemistry between her and Paul was great. However, I personally felt that their chemistry wasn't much on the romantic side, and it kinda threw me off a little bit.

But the movie truly delivers that christmas feeling that their audience loves.

BEAUTIFUL MOVIE

Absolutely love all the characters in this heartwarming story of an angel bringing Christmas spirit back to the town of Angel Falls. Paul Greene is such a beautiful man to watch in this movie. AWESOME CHEMISTRY BETWEEN PAUL GREENE AND RACHEL BOSTON. BEAU BRIDGES ALSO MADE A VERY BELIEVABLE ANGEL.

While Hallmark movies tend to be a bit too sugary for me, this one was filled with very good actors and a gorgeous setting.

This looked very familiar.....

I will admit that this was my first time seeing this movie. I caught it about halfway through and something just seemed very familiar, Christmas in Angel Falls appears to be loosely related to the movie 'Christmas Magic' in that a young lady is sent from above as a guardian angel to help a family. Even the dialog between Gabby and Michael sounds nearly identical to CM. Aside from that, i thought the movie was very good. A lot of people above me gave kudos for the cast, and i can't disagree with them! I'm really looking forward to watching this again, but this time, from the beginning! :-D

Filmed in North Bay, Ontario Canada in September 2017. The church used for interiors and exteriors was St. Andrew's United Church in the same city.

Goofs
About 5 mins in, Gabby is talking to fireman Jack, out in the street. An extra wearing a bright royal blue coat and matching knit royal blue beret passes behind the actress in the foreground. The camera cuts to Jack, and the extra can be seen finalizing her passing and exiting screen right. The problem is the camera P.O.V. cuts back to Gabby, and that same female extra is seen again, passing as if the first time, behind Gabby. (The same extra will reappear later in the show, wearing the same bright blue costume.)
