Who's Afraid of a Cheap Old House?
Personally, i would have chosen the house over the church and was very curious to see what the cottage on the property also looked like but that got totally ignored. There is obviously more to the building that they don't show, either during the purchase process or the big reveal. For example, there's a small enclosed room in the sanctuary space when they purchase it that is demoed in the finished product but it is totally ignored in the exploration phase. My main problem is they make such a big deal out of the hole when looking at the building initially, then it just goes away. My guess is that it was stairs to a lower level that had been removed.
