The Russell Howard Hour

I can tell you how these jokes are written. You take something that majority is angry about and just make them feel good about it. It doesn't have to be funny. Just reaffirm their beliefs and anger and they will laugh with a sense of relief. They will feel vindicated and part of the "smart" majority of "sensible" people. He always has to remain that good boy everyone loves, or most of the people. His audience is smart and educated and annoyed by some other, very stupid people, that are outside of this safe space of wisdom. You really need to be a certain mindset to be able to laugh at these jokes.

I used to love this show and whilst I do find it funny still it's also the latest in shows that have become increasingly lazy and unmotivated to do anything fresh, if anything they're now doing less.

Sliced a quarter of the show off so minus adverts the show maybe just over half hour, only occasionally does good deeds and everything is solely about politics, I get it's news of the week, but is the researcher so lazy they can't find some amusing content from something less depressing, as much as he jokes, he's still insanely rich for really doing very little so to act like he gets it seems a bit questionable. Plus never are better ideas offered so it's just endless criticism.

I like Russell but this is growing stale, I'm tired of hearing stuff that's ruining lives been made light of, it's not actually funny. What he says is! But the content isn't! I hope maybe he can look to enlighten again rather than just focus on those clueless imbeciles who run the uk.
