Here's another excellent featurette with author Stephen Thrower discussing a Jess Franco film. This one here takes a look at his classic EUGENIE... THE STORY OF HER JOURNEY INTO PERVERSION and clocks in at eighteen-minutes. This here is certainly another winning as the author goes into some very good detail about the making of the film including the casting and the locations. Best of all are the comparisons to the actual story by Marquis de Sade. There's some good talk about certain things in the book that were unfilmable and there's some stuff dealing with other adaptations that Franco did later in his career. And yes, the memories of Christopher Lee about the making of the film are also discussed. If you're a fan of Franco and of Thrower then you'll certainly enjoy this featurette as it touches on a lot of grounds and there's no question that you'll walk away knowing some good bits of information. Now we can only hope that some of the other mentioned films are eventually given the proper release.
