The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack contains familiar songs as well as new tracks made for the movie. Some of the most prominent songs in the movie are "Love Me Like You Do," "Crazy in Love (2014 Remix)," and the Oscar-nominated "Earned It." The soundtrack also features pieces of the original score by Danny Elfman.
The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack is a key element of the movie. The 2015 release was adapted from the erotic romance novel of the same name by E.L. James, which in turn was adapted from her previously written Twilight fanfiction Master of the Universe. The movie was the first in a trilogy adapted from James' work starring Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, all three of which were smash hits that cumulatively earned more than $1.3 billion at the box office.

Over the past couple of decades, the Rolling Stones have looked for any reason to hit the road besides the release of a new album of original songs. They’ve launched tours celebrating their 50th anniversary, reissues of select archival records, the 2016 covers LP Blue & Lonesome, and their 60th anniversary. Some years they headed out on the stadium circuit for no particular reason whatsoever, knowing a Stones tour is a major event in and of itself.
But after a nearly two-year break from touring, the Stones emerged last year with the shockingly great Hackney Diamonds.

The cast of Guilt is one of the standout features, with excellent performances that make the characters feel grounded and believable. The theme of guilt plays a major role in the show, affecting not only the main characters but also the supporting cast and their storylines. The month of April for Hulu is jam-packed with TV and film goodies, from Adam Sandler’s 1999 comedy “Big Daddy” to Fox’s hit sitcom “New Girl.”
On top of Hulu’s rollout of a new interface, it’s also adding some major film and TV titles to its platform. Some of the highlights that set off the first day of April include “American Psycho,” “Shrek” and its sequel “Shrek 2,” plus the Tim Story-directed “Think Like a Man.”
Anime series will be all the rage on Hulu with the dubbed version of the new popular series “Chainsaw Man” arriving, along with “Spy x Family” and “Black Clover.” If you’re looking for something a little bit more kid-friendly, the family can al enjoy “Despicable Me” and “Despicable 2,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” and “Nanny McPhee.” For the lovers and heartless romantics, “Dear John” and “Date Night...

Hulu’s list of new releases for April 2023 don’t feature many blockbusters, but if we dig a little, I’m sure we can find some gems.
Perhaps the most promising items are on the TV side of things. Tiny Beautiful Things premieres on April 7 and stars Kathryn Hahn as “a floundering writer who becomes a revered advice columnist while her own life is falling apart.” That will be followed by comedy Am I Being Unreasonable? on April 11 and two documentaries: high school football story Algiers, America (April 19) and Tupac Shakur piece Dear Mama (April 22).
The best TV candidate this month, however, is probably Saint X on April 26. This series, told via multiple timelines, “explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre as it explores how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.

Throughout his career, Daniel Radcliffe has appeared in a wide range of movies, from a blockbuster franchise about a boy wizard to an existential drama about a farting corpse, with varying success. For his acclaimed roles in both big-budget tentpole movies and smaller indie fare, Radcliffe has received accolades ranging from Critics’ Choice Awards to MTV Movie Awards. Radcliffe successfully made the leap from child actor to bonafide movie star, and he's one of the only actors to successfully break free from the iconic blockbuster franchise role that made them famous.
By playing wildly subversive roles like a gun-toting gamer in Guns Akimbo, a horned murder suspect in Horns, and a farting corpse in Swiss Army Man, Radcliffe post-Harry Potter career has been a success, as he has become a renowned performer in his own right. He can switch seamlessly between the wackiest of comedies and the darkest of dramas,...

Even if you’ve signed up for every streaming service out there, it can feel monumental when a title moves from one to another. In April, Netflix mainstay “New Girl” moves to Hulu; still streaming, but not where fans are used to finding it — like rearranging the furniture in your apartment and waking up surprised every day that the couch is over there now.
But what’s important is that “New Girl” lives on, now joining Hulu’s own TV and movie library and originals from Freeform, FX, National Geographic, and more. Later in the month, Leila Gerstein’s “Saint X” — based on the novel by Alexis Schaitkin — premieres with three episodes, recounting the story of a young girl found dead during a family vacation and the sister piecing it together years later. Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny, Jayden Elijah, Bre Francis, Kenlee Anaya Townsend, Betsy Brandt, and Michael Park star.

Grace Gummer has been cast in the “Let the Right One In” pilot at Showtime, Variety has learned.
She joins previously announced cast members Demián Bichir and Anika Noni Rose. The series centers on Mark (Bichir), a father and his 12-year-old daughter, Eleanor, whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the minimal amount of human blood she needs to stay alive.
Gummer will play the role of Claire. The heiress of a pharmaceutical empire, Claire is a brilliant scientist who turned down the family’s billion-dollar business to pursue a humbler, nobler career in disease research. But her life gets turned upside down when her estranged, ailing father summons her home and reveals a terrible secret.

Director Kirby Adkins says his greatest fear about “Mosley,” his ambitious animated feature about fantasy creatures called thoriphants, was that too many compromises would have to get made along the way — and that the movie would become “screwed up.”
Making “Mosley” as an international production — it is the first film to make use of the bilateral New Zealand-China treaty — and delivering a nuanced, family story that goes beyond purely kids’ entertainment, both seem to add to the risks.
Previously called “Beast of Burden,” the film follows the eponymous hero Mosley and his family of intelligent four-legged creatures who have the ability to speak like humans but who have been cursed to live a life of servitude. In an attempt to free his family, Mosley embarks on a perilous journey to find the mythical land of Kinesareth.

It is no small irony that while New Zealand competes with Canada, the U.K. and Australia for foreign productions, those three English-language territories have historically also been the country’s most frequent partners for co-productions. But the tide is turning.
New Zealand has reached out more within the Asian region, and as it has strengthened its case as a partner through a growing web of bilateral co-production treaties. In the past three years, China, Australia and Germany have been the busiest partners.
In other industries, notably dairy, wine and tourism, New Zealand’s relationship with China is already substantial, but still growing. The entertainment business relationship is accelerating thanks to a WeChat presence, a “China Club” that organizes regular visits and outreach events with that country and entrepreneurial individual producers: Pukeko Pictures with TV shows “Kiddets” and “Book Hungry Bears”; Nhnz in the factual and TV space; and Huhu Studios in animation.

The Rolling Stones have a system for planning what songs they’re going to play at every show. On concert days, the band usually soundchecks in the afternoon. Then Mick Jagger gets to work with keyboardist Chuck Leavell on making the set list. It’s been nearly 60 years since the Rolling Stones stormed out of their sleepy London town to become “the world’s greatest rock & roll band,” and, in that time, they’ve put out more than two-dozen greatest-hits compilations. The best of the best-ofs (Forty Licks, Grrr!) provide a broad survey of all the big hits, high tide and green grass the band has staked their claim to over the years — but the more interesting sets shine their lights on smaller slivers of the Stones’ catalogue.

“Real Life Rock Top Ten” is a monthly column by cultural critic and Rs contributing editor Greil Marcus.

Years ago in Chicago, in the middle of winter, my friend Bill Wyman was taking me to a bar: “Chicago’s a really friendly town,” he said. “You’ll like it here.” As we approached the place, two burly guys came out and one fixed me, as if trying to figure out what I was doing there.

Keith Richards can name several highlights of the Rolling Stones’ most recent overseas tour. He talks about how Mick Jagger pushed the band to start opening their shows with “Street Fighting Man,” how they tackled their 1967 rarity “She’s a Rainbow” and brought back their cover of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” which became a frequent highlight. “Mick was having a lot of fun with it, especially with the harp at the end,” says Richards. As the tour wound down, Richards says, “Everyone looked at each other saying,...

It’s been more than 50 years since the Rolling Stones walked into Chess Records’ headquarters in Chicago, interrupting a Buddy Guy recording session along the way.
“Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon walked straight in my studio while I was singing with a bunch of white guys, who lined up against the wall,” remembers Guy, who was in the middle of tracking his 1964 b-side “My Time After Awhile.” “I got pissed off: ‘Who in the hell are these guys?’ I had never seen a white man with hair that long and high-heeled boots before.

Let’s raise a birthday toast to Mick Jagger, who turns 75 today — over 50 years after he sang “The lines around my eyes are protected by a copyright law” on Aftermath. After all these years in the public eye, he remains the ultimate rock & roll trickster. He’s the most visible of rock stars, yet also one of the most mysterious and unfathomable — not to mention the funniest. He’s the most elusive of the Rolling Stones — anybody can tell right away what’s cool about Keith or Charlie or Woody,...

James Bay warmed up the crowd at London’s Twickenham Stadium before The Rolling Stones took the stage last night. But after Bay’s opening set, Stones frontman Mick Jagger invited him back onstage to perform a duet of the band’s hit “Beast of Burden.” The song, originally from 1978’s “Some Girls” album, saw a second life in 1984 when it became a radio and MTV hit for Bette Midler.
Before the show started, Keith Richards chatted with Bay and showed the singer some of his pre-show rituals.
After the performance, Bay took to Instagram to thank The Rolling Stones, citing the impact and influence the band has had on his career thus far. “This band has probably shaped the way I make music and perform more than anyone else,” Bay wrote. “Their relentless passion and energy on stage is so inspiring. I can’t believe last night was real.

The post-Harry Potter career of Daniel Radcliffe remains in full swing and has been an interesting ride filled with surprising project choices. His latest indie, Beast of Burden, a drama disguised as a thriller, sees him collaborating with arthouse-oriented Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt. Going in blind (without even reading the rather spoilerific synopsis) seems like the best course of action for Beast of Burden, since the story strives to reveal new layers that force viewers to reevaluate how they see Radcliffe’s character, Sean Haggerty. So, all we’ll say is Radcliffe portrays a former U.S. Air Force pilot, a man who begrudgingly finds himself smuggling drugs for the cartel. We had the opportunity to briefly chat with Radcliffe regarding his newest release. ScreenAnarchy: Taking a look...

From child wizard to drug runner, Daniel Radcliffe certainly has had a number of different roles in his career so far to try and shake off his Harry Potter persona. In his latest attempt, Beast of Burden, he plays a drug running pilot. Watch the trailer below.
Is it just us? judging by the trailer in which his supposedly last drop goes terribly wrong, he seems to be morphing into Justin Timberlake.
Directed by Jesper Ganslandt (The Ape) from a script by Adam Hoelzel, the film stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods), and Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot) alongside Radcliffe.
The film will be in select Us cinemas, on VOD and Digital HD February 23, 2018.

Daniel Radcliffe has a new movie coming out called Beast of Burden from Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt. Radcliffe plays a pilot who is forced to deliver an illegal cargo of cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final run as a smuggler to save his wife. This looks like a solidly intense and unique thriller worth checking out. Radcliffe also tends to make movies that tell interesting stories.
The movie stars Grace Gummer, Pablo Schreiber and Renée Willett and this is the synopsis that was released:
Sean Haggerty (Radcliffe) only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman, and the DEA that nothing is wrong. An hour to make sure his wife survives. And he must do it all from the cockpit of his Cessna.

Post-Potter life has been fairly kind to Daniel Radcliffe.
From battling The Woman in Black to infiltrating a neo-Nazi sect in Imperium, not to mention the wholly irreverent Swiss Army Man, the former Boy Who Lived has consistently strayed outside his comfort zone in order to approach weird, wonderful, and often compelling roles. And Beast of Burden is yet another interesting feather in Radcliffe’s hat.
The film sees the actor playing Sean Haggerty, a “drug-running pilot who teams with the DEA to bring down the cartel on the promise of medical treatment for his ailing wife.” While it’s supposed to be his “last job,” things don’t go according to plan and he finds himself in an extremely tricky situation. It might be a bit of a generic premise, yes, but judging from this first trailer, which can be seen above, Radcliffe looks to have picked another...

The conclusion of the Harry Potter film series freed up Daniel Radcliffe to be whatever he wanted to be as an actor and I've enjoyed much of what he's done since, even if the film itself wasn't always successful. The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, Horns, What If, Swiss Army Man and last year's Jungle rise to the top for me. So even though Beast of Burden sounds, on first blush, kinda like the Tom Cruise vehicle American Made -- big star flies a plane on daring drug mission -- the dramatic tone and darker atmosphere sets it apart, as is evident in the first trailer. The synopsis is succint: "Pilot Sean Haggerty (Daniel Radcliffe) must deliver cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final...

Daniel Radcliffe‘s last few films have, to put it politely, flown under the radar. You’ve probably already forgotten about the survival tale “Jungle” and the white supremacy drama “Imperium” (and you probably want to forget about “Now You See Me 2“). Well, here comes another pic that will likely zip in and out of your brain.
“Beast Of Burden” co-stars Pablo Schreiber and Grace Gummer, and tells the story of a man who makes a deal to smuggle drugs to pay for his wife’s surgery.

"This isn't the plan! They re-routed me..." Momentum has unveiled a trailer for an indie drug thriller titled Beast of Burden, from Swedish filmmaker Jesper Ganslandt. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as a pilot who must deliver an illegal cargo of cocaine across the Us-Mexico border for his final run as a smuggler to save his wife. Most of the film takes place in the cockpit following Radcliffe as he flies his Cessna across the border. The cast includes Grace Gummer, Pablo Schreiber and Renée Willett. This seems like it has some intense action scenes, with drones, helicopters, and guns. Crazy. Worth a look because it is so unique. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Jesper Ganslandt's Beast of Burden, direct from YouTube: Sean Haggerty (Radcliffe) only has an hour to deliver his illegal cargo. An hour to reassure a drug cartel, a hitman, and the DEA that nothing is wrong.

Beast of Burden
The only filmmaker to be featured on both of our 2018 Most Anticipated lists, perhaps it’s a good thing that the release of Beast of Burden follows the launching of Jimmie (#55 Most Anticipated Foreign Films), the Rotterdam selected drama looks to be a grind, while the eventual release of his English, stateside debut might be schizophrenia on a different level.

The fall is often perceived as the launch pad for awards season, as numerous prestige films compete for attention in the final weeks of the year. For much of the film community, however, it’s also the first major window into movies worth talking about next year. That’s because the Sundance Film Festival lineup typically drops in the middle of November, shaking up the holiday season with a mixture of familiar faces and newcomers who could make an impact in Park City this January. With programmers working in overdrive to complete the lineup in the coming weeks, and filmmakers praying to break through as the deadlines loom, we’ve cobbled together as much intel as we can for this extensive preview featuring dozens of promising titles that stand a good chance at making their way to Sundance this year. As usual, we’ve tried to avoid projects that are...
