Definitely one of the best Romantic Comedy movies i have watched in the last couple of years ..

So I don't usually watch Spanish movies but since i'm learning the language so i was like why not!!

The movie is single-handedly one of the best Rom/Com i'v watched quite a time .. and definitely the best Spanish so far "since it's the first or second one I've ever watched"😁

It has a really strong plot .. started so clear and understandable, the comedy is fresh and easily follow-able and with the element of unpredictability so you won't really be a 100% sure things will go your way.

I do believe The writing was well sculptured and perfected, It's apparent that it is not the first time David Serrano Diego San José have worked together.

The casting was amazing .. i don't know any Spanish actors but man !! those who played the roles of "Jorge, Nuria, Lucas, Yoli, Miguel, Patricia, Pepe and Víctor" were so engaging and funny and their facial expressions in those little romantic moments were sensational .. just a note, the characters names i mentioned above are literally the whole cast 😄😄 meaning the Whole cast were a bunch of funny geniuses.

Overall, this movie is a must watch for those who are non-Spanish only because i know the Spanish have already watched it 😉

Keep it up guys, and sure i'll keep following up your work.

    Genuinely funny, natural and true

Huge fan of Michelle and Hugo, and was excited to see them once again on the screen. Straight away in love with the entire cast. Tenemos que hablar is a beautiful film which is genuinely funny, natural and true in regards with life and relationships. A film you can see multiple times and never be tired of it.

That's what happens when you're not funny

"Tenemos que hablar" (We Need to Talk) is a Spanish romantic comedy that attempts to address the emotional and practical aftermath of a breakup amid a complicated economic backdrop. The film aims to generate laughs and empathy through misunderstandings, absurd situations, and the clash of the protagonists' personalities, but it fails to deliver a consistent or memorable result.

The premise, which combines elements of economic crisis and romantic entanglements, could have given rise to a fresh and engaging story. However, the script lacks the spark and originality needed to stand out in the genre. While some lines work and certain scenes elicit a smile, most of the humor feels forced and devoid of energy.

The cast fulfills its roles, with Ernesto Sevilla standing out as an effective comedic counterpoint that brings some levity to the story. Nevertheless, neither the cast nor the direction manages to breathe life into a script that desperately calls for more dynamism and creativity. The predictability of the situations and the flat development of the characters eventually exhaust any attempt at surprise or emotional engagement.

Visually, the opening credits are one of the few aspects that show some inventiveness, but the rest of the film lacks direction that could harness the potential of its setup. References to genre classics, such as Billy Wilder's One, Two, Three or Barefoot in the Park, fall far short of being realized, as the film fails to convey the spark or charm that characterize these works.

In conclusion, Tenemos que hablar is a comedy with good intentions but poor execution. Its predictability and lack of rhythm turn what could have been a fun experience into a film that is unlikely to leave a lasting impression.

    Incalificable

La peor película que he visto nunca, de largo. Aburrida, sin humor y un argumento malo. Vaya pérdida de tiempo.

    Regular to weak...

The idea is good, but the development was a bit forced, the motive futile, unreal, ok, comedy, but the script could be better developed, taken more seriously... Regular to weak...

The film's introductory scenes explain with great clarity what happened to many families in Spain who invested their money before the crash of 2008, idly advised by bank managers.
