Vampires: Lucas Rising

I gave the same generous star rating as I did on the first instalment Vampires: Brighter in Darkness. But I will say it was better than the first by way of better acting...marginally better. experience is a factor. This is a continuation of the Lucas/Toby story resolving the cliffhanger ending of the first film. There are more fights and the story of this one focuses on Lucas more than him and Toby's relationship. I'd have liked to see them share more screen time since it's their chemistry that sold me on the first film. We get another instalment of poor FX and half acting. In an effort to resolve the story it's not too hard to endure. After all that I am still curious to see if they do the third film. There is still one in the works. We'll see.
