I have to be honest. Once I finished 1883 I was hesitant to watch 1923, because a story about ranchers fighting for land didn't appealed to me as much as an epic pioneer's travel to the west. Still, I gave it a chance. And it wasn't bad, at least the first season.
One thing that definitely helped to make things interesting was to have several storylines that occur in different places and finally converge in Montana. That was definitely an improvement from 1883.
Another good thing, common to both shows, is character development. You definitely feel a connection and get to care for them. I absolutely fell in love with Alex.
What I didn't like was that this one has some very unrealistic scenes that weren't really necessary for the story.
Second season was bad. Dragged it's feet in the first couple of episodes and then rushed in the last ones to a very anticlimactic end. What a shame.
Still, I may recommend it. But I don't think I will be watching Yellowstone next.

First off I'm argentinian, so this may be a little biased. You have been warned.
When I started watching this series I thought it would be the typical missing girl movie/series. I don't wanna spoil anything, but let's just say it's not what it may seem at first look...in a good way. You think you know what's happening and then it takes some very unexpected turns.
The story is ultimately not "shocking", but I think that's something good, it ads to its overall credibility.
Acting is decent. Dialogues are reasonably good and credible (as a lawyer I found some police lines kinda dumb, but that's unavoidable in a work of fiction) music is ok, photography is good.
I would recommend this. It's not one of the best series out there, but it's well above average, especially for Netflix standards.

There's really nothing remarkable about this movie, aside from it's length.
Don't get me wrong, it is not bad: It has good acting, decent plot and dialogue, and amazing photography and sound. It's just that it's not great.
It could have been half the length and still would have worked well and would have delivered the message. This is not to say that the movie 'feels too long' or gets boring, nothing of the sort. But its massive length adds nothing.
As for the story, it's not a "hard to watch" movie, it's not all suffering. It's something we have kinda seen before, tho. The immigrant looking for the American dream and suffering hardships along the way.
Is it worth watching? Probably yes. Will I watch it again? Absolutely no.
