...even if bearing in mind that the Series comes from a country not famous for crime dramas. The event triggering the whole cascade of following actions was thrilling and posed several questions, but when constant flashbacks started and the wrongdoer was revealed (in the midst of season), the pace and my interest began to fade even more.
There were also no conspicuous performances to follow (which I tend to do if the plot is not too catchy for me) and I had to take my time to try to remember the cast, the Greek names, both adults and children, who was related to whom, etc. The outcome could have include an unexpected twist as well.
7 points as I liked it less than Eteros Ego; and if it was an e.g. Scandinavian or British production, I would have rated less.

Let me cut to the chase: The creators of Silent Road did themselves no favor by making it a 13 episode series. What started out as a promising premise, the abduction of nine kids on their way to school, by the end was so stale, with a resolution so overdue, I could barely wait for the show to end. It was one of those TV series that's not bad enough to stop watching, but not really good enough to enjoy. So, by the end, I felt like I was running the original Greek marathon to get through it!
Yes, the idea was that the kids' abduction would reveal all the various fractures and foibles within these wealthy families. The problem was, I struggled to get interested in anyone from this morose and depressing group of people. Black sheep Thalia seemed interesting for awhile, but even her appeal wore out over time.
Kudos to the Topic network for bringing international shows to the US that we otherwise wouldn't see. But in this case, a tight, seven episode plot would've worked far better.

Probably worth an 8.5 or so, but the first few episodes took a bit to really get me totally engrossed. But then it REALLY picked up and got a lot more interesting, especially when it had a great unexpected turn a few episodes later. Definitely a very solid drama out of Greece worth checking out. I do agree it could have been tightened up a bit into maybe 10 episodes but overall it was solid and kept getting better and better. I felt the acting was pretty solid and it had a number of interesting characters. I am so glad Topic brings us so much content from different countries I otherwise never would have heard of.
Incredible acting and a captivating plot. The cinematography is astounding as well. Probably the best greek production since "To Nisi" (2010). Unfortunately greek tv productions have been going downhill for the past 10 years,it's good to know that we are slowly getting better again. A must-watch.
13 episodes to tell a story that could be covered in 6-7 episodes. I'm on Ep 8 and sheer willpower will be needed to get me through the last five. It's a very cynical approach to series production. There's too much development of subplots that add very little to the central theme and storyline and serve only to pad out the length of the series. In this Ep 8, the police appear close to solving the case and yet there's still five episodes to go. Heaven knows what side streets we'll head down before a conclusion.
Should learn from the brilliant 'River' that ran just six, wonderfully scripted and acted, episodes.
