6/10 - not my favorite Roe mystery, but still worth the watch
Aurora "Ro" Teagarden is back, sporting an even shorter hairstyle than in the last installment of Aurora Teagarden Mysteries and she has purchased a new house..."that even has bookshelves in the kitchen"! Martin has gone back to the CIA, with Ro questioning if they were a good match, missing him and sharing news via the telephone.
Poppy has moved back in to town and is in one of Aida's condos. Home town hero Dustin is receiving lots of attention, much to Sally's dismay as he is taking all the limelight at the paper where Sally works. Poppy, the daughter of one of Aida's closest friends and someone Ro used to babysit, is Dustin's girlfriend and the star of her own YouTube channel with her friend Cara. Poppy is also working on an embroidery book and tv appearances.
Sally's cousin Lizzie is heavy in to wedding planning with Bubba, Aida's lawyer and coincidentally Poppy's lawyer. An awards dinner for reporter Dustin was like an assembly of the members of the True Crimes club. Apparently bride-to-be Lizzie is beyond jealous of the time that Poppy and Bubba are spending together and is jealous. Poppy doesn't arrive at the dinner, Sally and Ro are asked to go try to locate her...which is how they find her dead in her condo.
There is no end to the suspects in this mystery: Dustin...not wanting to loose her, jealous Lizzie, competitive partner Cara, Margaret, the step-mom?
For the first time, Sally takes advantage of her friendship with Ro asking her to wait on turning over evidence to the police...it is usually the other way around. It was nice to see that their friendship really is a two way street.
"A well written mystery is a work of art. The twists and turns of human nature and true crime is the very essence of life and death. It is all right here in these books."-Ro.
Cue the Real Murders Club and the murder board...
Aurora Teagarden mysteries is still one of my three favorite Hallmark mystery series along with Hannah Swensen's Murder She Baked and Mystery 101. Reap What You Sew does not disappoint, it has several twists and turns...ends with a bang and lots of hands to help move all of Aurora's boxes in to her new home.
This is a series that you should watch.

I liked this episode considerably more than the other reviewers here. It was a return to form in the sense that the plot centered on the town and residents of Lawrenceton, and the cast was mostly in place again, with the exception of Miranda Frigon (the character of Lynn Liggett-Smith).
Lexa Doig (Sally Allison) is still the MVP, IMO. She brings so much energy and humor to this show, it truly suffers when she is absent.
The murder itself was pleasantly complicated, with several possible suspects, who proved less than honest and trustworthy.
The writers, I thought, did a wonderful job of having Aurora defend her skeptical nature to her mother, Aida, who worried that Aurora's suspicious mind made it hard for people to get close to her. Later, in a beautifully written scene, the writers give us a scene between Sally and Aurora, where we witness how Aurora's true friends forgive and appreciate her suspicious, but open mind.

Internet sensation and old family friend of Aurora Teagarden, Poppy Wilson, has returned to Lawrenceton to start her new embroidery business. But not everyone is happy with Poppy's success when she turns up dead. To find the killer, Roe must follow the unsettling truths that lead her into the path of the killer.
The suspects- Poppy's boyfriend, Dustin, who disappears from work at very convenient times and seems to have loved Poppy a little too much, her young stepmother, Nicole, who didn't get along with her stepdaughter and tried to convince her husband to change his will in her favor. Poppy's engaged friends Lizzy and Bubba -have a lot to hide. Lizzy was the last person to have contacted Poppy and was seen angrily confronting her about a supposed affair with her fiancé, which means both had motive to kill her.
Another satisfying Aurora Teagarden mystery that is well-paced, has a simple yet intricately crafted mystery that keeps you glued to the screen - the cast is great as always, especially Lexa Doig.

This episode is unwatchable once you realize every other word spoken is "Poppy"!! Poppy this, Poppy that...won't give anything away but come on people enough is enough!! This installment just might outdo "Carol Ann" from Poltergeist 3!! Good luck making it through the 2 hour "Poppy fest". Ugh!!

- CuriosidadesThe writing of this episode required significant exposition to explain the absence of several beloved characters from the series, including Detective Lynn Ligett-Smith; Roe's boyfriend Martin Bartell; and erstwhile juvenile delinquent-turned bird dog Perry Dell - all of this on the heels of John Queensland being written out of the series in Last Scene Alive (2018). Further altering the tone of this episode is the unexplained substitution of an unfamiliar actor playing newspaper editor Macon Turner.
- Erros de gravaçãoThe murder weapon is pinking shears, not serrated scissors. no seamstress worth her stitch would ever refer to them as scissors. and no coroner, unless themself a subject of a premature postmortem. would ever confuse the wound made by pinking shears with that from a serrated steak knife.
