The NFL’s decision to schedule two games on Christmas Day has ignited a firestorm of controversy, with critics, including Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger, raising concerns about player health and the prioritization of profit over player well-being.
Roethlisberger, a Super Bowl champion himself, expressed his dismay on his “Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger” podcast, stating, “It’s miserable… It’s a shame that the league does this. It just shows that it’s all about money.” He emphasized the detrimental impact of such a condensed schedule on player recovery, stating, “You’re going to make guys play the most violent game in the world, arguably, three games in [11] days. I mean, there’s no time for your body to get healthy and rest.”

After previously appearing at a nearby Donald Trump rally, Elon Musk entered Acrisure Stadium and participated in the iconic Terrible Towel phenomenon, which is engraved deeply with Pittsburgh Steelers culture. Musk wasn’t the lone big name to showcase their support by performing the half-a-century-old tradition, considered by many a lucky charm for Steelers, as Snoop Dogg, too, engaged in Pittsburgh culture.

Adult film star Stormy Daniels recently mentioned former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger during her testimony in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan.
During her 2006 sexual encounter with Trump, which Trump allegedly paid her to remain quiet about, Daniels testified that Trump had told her she reminded him of his daughter, Ivanka. She said she was uncomfortable with the power imbalance in the encounter and blacked out while they were having sex.
Daniels said that she was with Trump again the next day for an event. They met at a nightclub restaurant at the hotel she was staying at, and Trump was with Roethlisberger when she arrived.
During the encounter, she tried on Roethlisberger’s Super Bowl ring, which she said was so large that two fingers could fit into it. At the end of the interaction, Trump asked Roethlisberger to walk Daniels to her room.

Disney is probably the biggest box office draw for general audiences. Between the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, Disney has been dominating the box office for almost a decade now. However, they've had very mixed responses to their "live-action reimaginings," where they recreate classics like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin with famous actors and CGI.
This year, Disney released The Little Mermaid, a remake of their 1989 classic, which performed well at the box office and had a second surge in streaming. From remakes like The Lion King to reimaginings like Cruella, Disney's live-action offerings have turned into a cash cow for the company and have done impressive numbers at the box office.
Updated by Fawzia Khan on 19th September, 2023: Disney has been reimagining many of its classic movies lately, with enhanced animation, top actors, and beautiful new sound. Seeing how the original movies were so popular, Disney fans...

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Disenchanted.
Giselle’s transformation into a fairy-tale villain in Disenchanted has a connection to an obscure Disney live-action sequel. The highly anticipated sequel to Enchanted follows in its predecessor’s footsteps by filling the film with Easter eggs from Disney Princess films to other Disney classics. One that may have gone under the radar with audiences is the method by which Giselle becomes more and more of a villain.
Giselle begins to take on the traits of a stereotypical fairy-tale stepmother every time she hears the bells chime from the town clock tower. The main character who acts kind transitioning into a villain due to chimes from a clock tower is a Disenchanted Easter egg because the same thing happens to Cruella in 102 Dalmatians, the sequel to the live-action adaption of 101 Dalmatians. In 102 Dalmatians, Cruella has gone through a new therapy that “cured” her of her villainous impulses.

Colin Kaepernick is back. Not quite in the NFL, but the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback turned activist has returned to Madden for the first time in four years.
Referring to Kaepernick as “one of the top free agents in football and a starting-caliber quarterback,” EA Sports announced his arrival in Madden NFL 21, the officially licensed NFL game, on social media. The quarterback’s 2016 decision to kneel during pregame performances of the national anthem, in protest of racial injustice in the United States, effectively blackballed him from the league.
According to The Undefeated, EA Sports attributes his absence from past editions of Madden to a loss of his likeness rights in the NFL Players Association’s licensing agreement with the game’s publisher, due to the fact that he had become a free agent. The Undefeated reported that EA Sports reached out to Kaepernick during the summer about negotiating likeness rights with him separately.

The Cincinnati Bengals must be licking their wounds today after the hard metal savaging they experiencing at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
Ripped apart 27-3, the Bengals are now 0-4 while the Steelers finally scored a much-needed win led by Mason Rudolph stepping into the Qb role for Ben Roethlisberger, who is out for the season with an injury. The third round 2018 draft pick completed 24 of his 28 passes for 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns in what was just his second NFL start.

Certainly, two winless teams squaring off on ESPN lhad a drama of its own. Though to be fair, by the start of the second half it was pretty obvious Pittsburgh was going to be the one to break a losing streak.

Antonio Brown is burning his National Football League bridges. The Pro Bowl receiver sent out a series of tweets today saying he won’t play anymore in the NFL, targeting New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The source of Brown’s ire appears to be the bonus money he won’t collect from the Oakland Raiders and Patriots. He was scheduled to get $29.125 million in guaranteed money from Raiders and $9 million from the Patriots, with $5 million of the latter due on Monday. ESPN, citing sources, said both have been rescinded.
The troubled Brown faces legal troubles from a civil lawsuit by former trainer Britney Taylor, who has accused him of rape and sexual assault. He also was accused of sexual misconduct by another woman in a Sports Illustrated story earlier this week. He has been on three teams in the last year, being traded...

Several prominent National Football League quarterbacks have gone down from injury and illness in the first two weeks of the season. But still, no one has called on former 49er Colin Kaepernick.
Despite his agents contacting such teams as the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets, all of whom had their star quarterbacks either go down or retire, no teams appear interested in the controversial Kaepernick.
He is known as the first player to take a knee during the National Anthem, allegedly in protest of police treatment of suspects and road stops on minorities. He has played up that rebel image in a series of Nike ads and filed a lawsuit against the NFL alleging collusion in that he was denied an opportunity to play again, eventually settling out of court. Kaepernick hasn’t played since the end of the 2016 season, when he opted for free agency.

Last night, Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Flacons held off Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles in an interception-filled affair on “Sunday Night Football.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the stop-start nature of the game, it didn’t perform quite as strongly in the early Nielsen ratings as last week’s “Snf” opener between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Eagles-Falcons game NBC was easily the night’s top primetime show with a 12.2 rating and 22 share in metered-market households. However, that represents roughly an 18% dip on 14.8 rating posted by the lopsided showdown between Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger last Sunday. Last night’s game was also down 12% from the second “Snf” outing of last season, which saw the Dallas Cowboys emerge victorious over the New York Jets. The total viewership for last night’s game will be available later today.

After a season opener which posted a three-year high on Thursday night, ratings for heavyweight Sunday night clash between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers were down a little.
The lopsided “Sunday Night Football” encounter, which saw Tom Brady emerge victorious over Ben Roethlisberger by a record 30-point margin (33-3), scored a 14.8 rating and a 26 share in the overnight metered-market ratings on NBC, down 3% on the 15.3 figure posted by the offensive snooze fest between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. Update: Antonio Brown was only unemployed for a few hours. The wide receiver has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who spoke to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brown reportedly will get a deal worth up to $15 million, Rosenhaus said, with a $9 million signing bonus, $10 million guaranteed, and $5 million in incentives.
He now plays with the all-time greatest quarterback, Tom Brady, and helps Bill Belichick pursue yet another Super Bowl title.
Earlier: Controversial Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown posted a rambling YouTube video of a private conversation he had with Raiders coach Jon Gruden on Friday, then demanded the team release him in an Instagram post on Saturday.
He got his wish, as the Raiders today released him, costing him more than $29 million in guaranteed money.
In the video, Gruden called Brown “misunderstood,” and practically begged Brown to just play football.
