    Handsome English leading man who, after briefly working for the Ministry of Defence, turned to acting using the stage name Julian Dallas. He made a couple of film appearances for the Rank Organisation before moving to the US, signed by Warner Brothers. He took acting classes in New York under Morris Carnovsky, then made his mark as the title character of The Adventures of Jim Bowie (1956), for which he affected a convincing Southern drawl. He returned to England in the 1960s to work in television.
