Acts of Vengeance was directed by Isaac Florentine and stars Banderas as Frank Valera, a lawyer who goes on a mission to avenge the death of his wife and daughter. Frank soon takes a vow of silence, which will not be broken until he finds who killed his family and gets his vengeance. The film also features Karl Urban as Officer Hank Strode, a Pittsburgh Police officer who rescues Frank early in the film. Paz Vega and Cristina Serafini also have supporting roles in the film.

John Wick: Chapter 4 star Scott Adkins and Gladiator actor Djimon Hounsou join forces for a new action thriller from the director of Undisputed II: Last Man Standing.

Per Variety, Adkins and Hounsou are set to star in the action thriller, One Last Fight, from director Isaac Florentine. The new action film reunites Adkins and Florentine, who had worked together previously on both Undisputed II: Last Man Standing and Undisputed III: Redemption. The two most recently collaborated on another action film, Seized, back in 2020. Adkins recently starred in The Killer's Game with Dave Bautista and had a show-stealing appearance as the mob boss "Killa" in John Wick: Chapter 4. His One Last Fight co-star, Hounsou, is best known for his roles in Gladiator and Guardians of the Galaxy. Hounsou was recently seen in the horror prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, which saw him reprise his role as Henri from A Quiet Place: Part II.

Last week, we sat down with Mitra to discuss her role in the movie - which is now available on Digital platforms - as Selina, a badass woman from Ryder's (Grillo) past who becomes embroiled in his revenge mission.

Explaining what drew her to the project, the Underworld star also breaks down her approach to action, the challenges of working on a lower-budgeted project, and how she and Grillo figured out the complicated dynamic between their respective characters.

Hounds of War brings the gritty action fans expect, following mercenary Ryder on a mission gone wrong and his ensuing quest for vengeance. The upcoming Red Sonja reboot hasn't had the easiest of journeys to the big screen, losing multiple filmmakers - including X-Men helmer Bryan Singer - and even its main star (Thunderbolts*' Hannah John-Kamen).

M.J. Bassett has since stepped behind the camera to direct the action, with rising star Matilda Lutz tapped to bring the iconic warrior to life in a movie fans hope will do this character justice.

Looks like it was filmed mostly on Malta, which is an infamous tax haven and a nice place to save money making a movie, even though it's not the most exciting place to shoot something this generic & derivative.

The Mediterrane Film Festival announced its complete program ahead of its second edition, taking place in Malta’s capital of Valetta from June 22-30. New titles selected include recent Cannes highlights in Coralie Fargeat’s Demi Moore-led body horror “The Substance” and Roberto Minvervini’s “The Damned,” which join previously announced films like Yorgos Lanthimos’s “Kinds of Kindness” and Jane Schoenbrun’s “I Saw The TV Glow.”

Malta’s Mediterrane Film Festival has set the full competition and industry lineup for its second edition, which runs June 22 to 30 in the country’s capital, Valletta.

The programme includes 15 films in competition, seven out-of-competition, and seven films competing in the environment-themed Mare Nostrum section, topped up by 14 immersive projects.

Select competition titles include Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest Kinds of Kindness, Coralie Fargeat’s body horror The Substance, and The Damned by Italian filmmaker Roberto Minvervini. As you can probably tell just from the title, The Last Kumite was inspired by 80s action films, the iconic Bloodsport in particular. The title, which is directed by Isaac Florentine and written by Richard Lowry, follows a drifter (Lang) with a mysterious past who arrives in a small town and finds the residents in the grip of a ruthless crime boss and realizes he has to help them.

Currently in post-production, Hellfire is produced by Sasha Yelaun, Robert Paschall Jr, Daniel Lief, and Johnny Remo. Director Isaac Florentine's upcoming action thriller film, Hellfire, starring Stephen Lang (Avatar) and Dolph Lundgren (Creed II), has officially wrapped up filming, according to an exclusive report from Deadline. While little information about the upcoming film is known, Deadline also reports that Hellfire will center on a mysterious drifter, played by Lang, who attempts to help a small town as they suffer under the grips of a notorious crime boss. No details about Lundgren's role in the film have been revealed yet.

Exclusive: The Last Ship, Strike Back and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans alum Rhona Mitra has joined the cast of action movie Hounds of War for Dean Devlin’s (Independence Day) Electric Entertainment, which is selling the film internationally.

Mitra will star with Frank Grillo and Nicky Whelan in the role of Caterina Murino. Isaac Florentine is directing and filming is underway in Malta.

The movie will follow a group of mercenaries who take on jobs that are considered impossible. After a mission goes wrong due to a shocking betrayal, only one of them is left alive to avenge his fallen brothers.

Isaac Florentine will direct from a screenplay by Matt Venne. Michael J. Luisi developed the screenplay with Adkins, Florentine and Venne, and will produce with Myriad chief Kirk D’Amico.

Premiere Entertainment Group, a Los Angeles-based sales, production and financing company, has announced the start of principal photography on the action film Seized, a new action movie starring Scott Adkins and Mario Van Peebles; with Isaac Florentine (who previously worked with Adkins on the Undisputed and Ninja film franchises) directing from a screenplay by Richard Lowry.

Seized follows a former special forces agent whose son has been kidnapped and has five hours to complete three missions if he wants to see his son alive again. His missions are to wipe out three dangerous crime syndicates.

Rafael Primorac of Arramis Films and Premiere’s Elias Axume are producing Seized alongside executive producers Stuart Alson, David Coppa, Jeff Miller, Daniel Lisanti, and Peter Organ. Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are also executive producers for BondIt Media Capital who provided financing. Principal photography is taking place in Baja California. Premiere Entertainment is handling worldwide sales for the film.
