Fast and Furious 11 is on its way to production, and lead star Vin Diesel has some things to say. Despite the untimely death of Diesel’s co-star Paul Walker back in 2013, the final scenes of Furious 7 were shot with Paul Walker’s brothers and CGI to finish the movie.
However, Diesel has recently teased that Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner and Dom Toretto will reunite in Fast and Furious 11 through a similar usage of CGI, to give a final conclusion to the story of Brian O’Conner and Dom Toretto.
Fast and Furious 11 will be an unsaid goodbye to Brian O’Conner
At Fuel Fest, a car enthusiast event in Pomona, Vin Diesel was joined by his co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker for a brief appearance where they talked about their upcoming film.

Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner will, indeed, see each other again.
Fast & Furious franchise star Vin Diesel (who played “Dom” Toretto) attended Paul Walker’s (who played Brian O’Conner) brother, Cody Walker’s automotive festival, Fuel Fest and gave updates on what fans can expect for the 11th Fast film.
The actor began by sharing an expected release date. “Just yesterday I was with Universal Studios … The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027?’ I said, ‘Under three conditions because I’ve been listening to my fanbase.”
“The first is to bring the franchise back to L.A.,” he said before adding, “The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing.”
Diesel concluded with his last wish: “The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner. That is what you’re going to get in the finale.

Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner returning for Fast & Furious 11; Vin Diesel confirms April 2027 release
Vin Diesel gassed up audiences at this year’s FuelFest in California over the weekend, announcing that the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise will hit the streets in April 2027. Not only that, but it will somehow find a way to bring back Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner.
Vin Diesel took to the stage to announce that Fast & Furious 11 (Fast X2? Fast XI?) was brought to him by Universal, to which he agreed if certain terms could be met. But these had nothing to do with salary or assuring that his head is bigger than Dwayne Johnson’s on the poster, but rather making die-hard fans happy. “The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious April 2027? Vin Diesel surprised a crowd on Saturday at FuelFest in Southern California, saying that the final film in the Fast & Furious franchise will hit theaters in April 2027.
Diesel, who has starred in all but one installment since 2001’s original, broke more news during his remarks onstage, confirming the film will be set in Los Angeles and that it will reunite Diesel’s Dominic Toretto character with Brian O’Conner, the character played by Paul Walker.
Walker starred with Diesel in the original and appeared in five installments before he was killed in a car crash in November 2013 at age 40.
Diesel previously had taken to his social media channels to urge Universal Pictures to date Fast X 2, the follow-up to 2023’s Fast X which grossed $700 million-plus at the global box office. The sequel has been billed as the final film in the franchise.

With early reviews and test screenings, James Gunn’s Superman is looking to be pretty darn impressive, and I do love almost everything that the movie has to offer (almost everything).
However, it was cruel fate that Brendan Fraser, who was once considered for the role of Superman in the early 2000s, never got to see his Man of Steel fly by. What hurts more is that Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock was also once attached to the project, and she could have been perfect for the role of Lois Lane against Brendan Fraser’s Superman.

It was back in the early 2000s when Warner Bros. called on J.J. Abrams to pen a script about a new Superman movie. Brendan Fraser was one of the actors who had been heavily considered for the role alongside Paul Walker and others.

Fast & Furious 11 will bring the franchise full-circle by bringing back a fan-favorite character. The long-awaited sequel will continue the story after Fast X's cliffhanger ending for Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his son, "Little B" (Leo Abelo Perry), whose fates were left ambiguous after Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) detonated explosives. Fast X's ending also featured the return of Gisele Yashar (Gal Gadot).
At FuelFest in Los Angeles, Vin Diesel took to the stage to reveal big Fast 11 details. He started stating an April 2027 release date, saying he and Universal agreed to make the next movie the finale on three conditions. The first and second were bringing the series back to its roots in Los Angeles and to street racing.
The third, which Diesel milked for the crowd, was that Brian O'Conner – played in six earlier movies by the late Paul Walker – will be making a proper return in the film.

Having essentially completed its theatrical run — the movie is also available to watch at home now — director Ryan Coogler's Sinners has perhaps one or two minor box office milestones left to pass. The movie emerged as a massive hit in the domestic market, but struggled internationally. Now in its third month of release, Sinnershas grossed more than $360 million at the worldwide box office, hopefully encouraging the industry to invest more money in original projects. Sinners was also notable for the unusual deal that Coogler struck with Warner Bros., which would see its rights revert to him after 25 years. The movie has overtaken a host of major releases over the course of its run, the most recent of which being Fast & Furious.

The second season of Tires hit Netflix at the start of this month, but the show has stretched its legs and found extended success well beyond what anyone was expecting. At the time of writing, Shane Gillis’ comedy series, which has drawn comparisons to Kevin James' The Crew, is still sitting comfortably in the Netflix top 10 in the fifth spot. Although it’s dropped a bit and given up its spot to newer arrivals like Ginny & Georgia, two straight weeks in the top 10 is still something to be proud of. Tires Season 2 saw an increase in its Rotten Tomatoes scores from both critics and audiences. Season 1 debuted with 40% from critics and 87% from audiences on the aggregate site, while Season 2 turned up the heat with 71% from critics and 93% from audiences.

Vin Diesel will always be known for his work as Dom Toretto in the Fast & Furious movies, but 10 years ago, he starred in a fantasy epic that’s found new life on streaming. Diesel features alongside Elijah Wood and Michael Caine in The Last Witch Hunter, the 2015 film following a witch hunter who stands between humanity and the deadliest witches in history. The Last Witch Hunter began streaming on Netflix not long ago, and the film wasted no time climbing to the top of streaming charts, sitting at #2 at the time of writing, behind only Gerard Butler’s Plane. The Last Witch Hunter earned poor scores of 18% from critics and 42% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it grossed $146 million at the box office against a $90 million budget.
Vin Diesel’s Fast & Furious co-star, Paul Walker, passed away on November 20, 2013, less than a year before The Last Witch Hunter began filming.

Vin Diesel’s 2015 fantasy action movie is experiencing a surprising revival nearly a decade after its rocky debut. The movie, which struggled critically and commercially, has returned from the grave. With its theme of magic, immortality, and ancient curses, the movie features a supernatural, mythological twist. And, Diesel is not unfamiliar with this theme.
Now, nearly a decade later, the movie is resurrected on the global streaming giant Netflix, reigniting the long-promised sequel. However, this forgotten flick has a far more emotional backstory for Diesel, something that halted the entire production. The movie is The Last Witch Hunter, and it is getting an unlikely second life on Netflix.

Amidst all the wild stunts, outrageous car chases, and globe-trotting spectacle, the Fast and Furious franchise has always had one thing at its core — family! No matter the odds, Dom Toretto and his crew have each other’s backs. That loyalty was put to the ultimate test in The Fate of the Furious, the franchise’s explosive eighth installment. When Dom is manipulated into betraying his team by the ruthless cyberterrorist Cipher, the rest of the crew bands together to bring him back. It marked a critical chapter in the saga, as the franchise's continuity hinged on its success. Though not without flaws, the eighth film did the all-important job of refueling the franchise and expanding its possibilities. Now, as fans brace for the franchise’s final lap withFast X: Part 2, The Fate of the Furious is set to be available to stream for free.

"Renaissance man" is used a lot in the entertainment industry, mostly referring to a writer/director, actor/musician, or even all of the above. Properly defined, a "renaissance man" is someone who thrives in multiple fields in the arts and sciences. So when I think of one, I think of the late, great Michael Crichton.
Crichton was a polymath before it was popular -- and before he hit it big. He dreamed of being a writer and published his first piece before he could drive. He graduated from Harvard (where he also played basketball), taught Anthropology at Cambridge, UK and came back to Cambridge, Mass to earn his MD while writing pulp page-turners under pseudonyms on the side. Crichton finally became famous writing under his own name with 1969's "The Andromeda Strain." He never looked back until his death from cancer in 2008.
A "Michael Crichton" list can be many things -- and super long.

When it comes to high-octane franchises, Fast & Furious and Mission: Impossible are like the Nos and nitroglycerin of Hollywood, both explosive, both iconic. While one’s about family and fast cars, the other’s about masks and mid-air stunts. Vin Diesel’s “ride or die” crew has been burning rubber for over two decades, while Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt has been running, jumping, and clinging to planes like it’s a cardio competition.
But when it comes to the box office finish line, Fast & Furious hits the Nos a little harder. Despite Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One pulling off some wild stunts (and Cruise literally riding off cliffs), it just didn’t boost the franchise past Dom Toretto’s $7 billion juggernaut. Ethan may be saving the world with style, but Dom’s doing it with family, and apparently, a whole lot more ticket sales. Sorry,...

In April 2025, Lucasfilm re-released "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" in movie theaters in honor of the film's 20th anniversary. Although the initial fan response to George Lucas' prequel trilogy was mixed at best and toxic at worst, time has been kinder to those movies, mainly due to the expansive canon material such as the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," which helped enrich that era with deeper storytelling and character development. As a result, audiences in 2025 flocked to revisit "Revenge of the Sith" and the tragic fall of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), a noble Jedi who gets radicalized by Sheev Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid), and transforms into his new apprentice, Darth Vader (who's voiced by James Earl Jones).
Young Anakin Skywalker was first portrayed by Jake Lloyd in 1999's "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace." Its follow-up, 2002's "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones...

The past two years have seen a sense of finality with both Clint Eastwood and Tom Cruise. While Eastwood directed his final film, Juror #2, at the age of 94 last year, Cruise is reportedly done with his tenure as Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Sadly, both Hollywood legends have never collaborated on a film.
However, they almost came close to working on a project that seems unlike both of the action legends. Eastwood was reportedly linked to a remake of the musical drama A Star is Born and was eyeing Cruise to play the lead role. However, it never materialized, and Bradley Cooper finally took the reins and made it his directorial debut.

When it comes to the "Fast & Furious" franchise, real fans know it isn't about the cars, the money, the action, or the story -- it's about family. But, y'know, also all those other things too. In fact, "Fast & Furious" is so concerned with its overarching narrative that it haphazardly constructed a twisted timeline that's hard for newcomers to process. Starting in 2001, the films were released in this order:
"The Fast and the Furious"
"2 Fast 2 Furious"
"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift"
"Fast & Furious"
"Fast Five"
"Fast and Furious 6"
"Furious 7"
"The Fate of the Furious"
"Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw"
"F9"
"Fast X"
The "Fast & Furious" movies can absolutely be watched, understood, and enjoyed in this order if the viewer relents to the franchise's reckless pace and internal logic. Having said that, there is an alternate viewing order we'll discuss later that...

The Fast and Furious franchise is as much about high-speed action and explosions as it is about the cars that define its adrenaline-fueled world. Over the years, the series has blessed its viewers with exciting cars, from American muscle cars to JDMs and high-end sports cars—they have covered them all.
Whether it’s Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) revving a Dodge Charger or Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) winning races in the iconic Skyline Gt-r, each car in the series has a rich history, and they speak for the character.
So, let’s examine a list of iconic cars that have appeared in the franchise, cars that are still spoken of today, or have influenced car culture in some way.

The year was 2003. After a two-year wait, Fast and Furious was returning with a sequel and, back then, none of us knew that the franchise would become what it is today. But we did know one thing: one of the most iconic cars of the entire film series was introduced in 2 Fast 2 Furious, never to be seen again. But the Honda S2000 piloted by Suki (Devon Aoki) left its unapologetically pink mark in the franchise and left fans forever wondering when we would see it again. Now, thanks to Lego, you will be able to see it all the time in your collection.
The company announced recently that the unforgettable car will be introduced to its Speed Champions collection. The Walmart-exclusive 300-piece set comes with authentic Honda details, including an interior TV monitor, rear wing, grille, and even the signature wheels. The summer of 2002 kicked off a whole new era in spy movies, but not in the way Hollywood expected. You see, three spy movies were coming out that year, and only one of them was predicted to be a hit. They were the Ben Affleck Jack Ryan flick, The Sum of All Fears, his pal Matt Damon’s The Bourne Identity, and Vin Diesel’s XXX. In fact, all three of them made money, but The Bourne Identity, a notoriously delayed and troubled production at the time, became a classic. The movie everyone expected to be a hit, XXX, did fine, making $142 million, which was a tidy sum. Still, given that it was expected to be the biggest hit of the summer, Hollywood insiders considered the film a disappointment. The end of the film promised that Xander Cage would return, but the time XXX: State of the Union hit theaters three years later,...

The world was left mourning when the news of Heath Ledger’s untimely demise came to light. The news struck many as a thunderbolt. After all, the 10 Things I Hate About You star left us at the young age of 28.
On top of that, his career seemed to hold a lot of promise. The Dark Knight might have established his reputation as one of the greatest of the generation. Alas. If only he had lived to see how the world reacted to his role. Fans around the world lamented the loss of a talent of Ledger’s pedigree. But it seems like that they’ll have another chance to appreciate his work.

Movies are a one-and-done kind of deal. To be fair, they used to be like that. You watch, you enjoy, you absorb, and you move on, or so we thought. Somewhere down the line, however, we decided to go big on franchises, really big. In better days, this newfound freedom allowed for a larger canvas – an expanded universe – and a fresh take on how one could tell and structure stories.
Quite some time, and then some, has already been spent trying to crack a formula that keeps pulling audiences back, irrespective of how many sequels, spinoffs, and reboots are produced. While the casuals have long languished, others are just terribly fatigued, but fans of certain franchises remain as devoted as ever.
We’re ranking ten franchises with the most loyal fan bases, not just based on box office numbers but also their cultural footprint. No trilogies or Blue Blanc Rogue-type cinema is allowed.

When Vin Diesel Walked Away From 2 Fast 2 Furious Over A Creative Dispute, Turning Down $25 Million!
Vin Diesel Skips Sequel For Creative Reasons(Photo Credit –Facebook)
Throwing it all the way back to the early 2000s, when Fast & Furious was just revving up and Dom Toretto was becoming a household name, fans were shocked when 2 Fast 2 Furious hit theaters, and Vin Diesel was nowhere to be seen. Yep, the face of the franchise, the man who gave us “I don’t have friends, I got family,” was totally Mia.
No Dom, no gravelly monologues, just fast cars and Paul Walker cruising solo. It was one of the biggest Wait, what? moments in the franchise’s history, and it had fans scratching their heads for years. Why didn’t Vin return for the second lap when the franchise was just getting started? And just how big was the offer he turned down? Spoiler alert: it was huge. This little detour in the Fast Saga...

It would be an understatement to label Vin Diesel as a celebrated action star in the industry. A star who has made immense contributions to the genre, his pedigree needs no introduction. And if one were to rank his projects, the Fast & Furious must be in the pole position. Sadly, it will be coming to an end real soon.
As the release of the grand finale of the franchise looms closer, it shouldn’t come as a shock to anybody that Diesel wants nothing to go wrong this time around. The XXX star is not taking any half measures with the Fast movies. Even if it comes to hyping the project.

If there’s one thing the Fast and Furious franchise has mastered, it’s reinvention. What started in 2001 as a movie about street racing and DVD player heists somehow morphed into a billion-dollar saga where cars fly, submarines chase Lamborghinis, and Vin Diesel defeats helicopters with a pair of Dodge Chargers. Over 10 movies (and counting), we’ve seen everything from rooftop chases in Rio to family barbecues that feel just as intense as the action scenes.
And through it all, Dom Toretto has reminded us, repeatedly, in case we forgot, that nothing is more important than family.
Of course, not every Fast & Furious movie is a nitrous-fueled masterpiece. Some entries turned the franchise into cinematic gold, while others, well, let’s just say they were running on fumes. The early movies were all about the underground racing scene, but as the franchise grew, so did its ambitions. By Fast Five,...

The MCU feature once again failed to achieve its goal this weekend and has also lost many theatres in North America. The film was the highest-grossing film of this year, but it also lost that title to A Minecraft Movie this weekend. Keep scrolling for the deets.
The film is going to land the Marvel Studios in loss with its collection as it had the price tag of $180 million. Captain America 4, however, helped the franchise cross the global milestone of $2.5 billion. Horror streaming service Screambox is diving headfirst into April with a line-up that refuses to play it safe. From long-lost slasher oddities and surrealist nightmares to new exclusives and unclassifiable cult gems, the horror streaming platform continues to double down on bold, brutal, and bizarre content. With Project Mkhexe, The Coffee Table and the notorious R-rated cut of Tammy and the T-Rex all making their mark, this month’s selections are tailored to viewers with a taste for the unexpected.
Perhaps the most talked-about addition is The Coffee Table, the Spanish black comedy that’s already earned a fearsome reputation from early festival runs. Directed by Caye Casas, the film delivers a harrowing domestic spiral that defies genre convention. It begins with a petty marital squabble over furniture and ends in an act so bleak that Stephen King himself called it, “horrible and also horribly funny.” Hitting Screambox on 11 April,...

Screambox has revealed the new films that are joining the Bloody Disgusting-powered horror streaming service in April, including Project Mkhexe, The Coffee Table, and Tammy and the T-Rex.
Nothing can prepare you for The Coffee Table, traumatizing Screambox on April 11. Stephen King said it best: “My guess is you have never, not once in your whole life, seen a movie as black as this one. It’s horrible and also horribly funny.”
Classic horror icons Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and John Carradine star together for the first and only time in House of the Long Shadows. The murderously funny mystery with a twist streams April 11 on Screambox.

Fast and Furious franchise lead actor Vin Diesel hopes to push the action-packed film series past the finish line in style as he continues work on Fast X: Part 2. Diesel's main character, Dominic Toretto, returns to the garage in new Part 2 behind-the-scenes images.
Via his Instagram page, Diesel shared multiple teasers over the past two days showing Toretto and his famous garage as he and his family look set to tune up new and vintage vehicles in Part 2. The first image shows the front of the Toretto garage with his patented 1970 Dodge Charger R/T parked outside, claiming that he "can't wait to show you the horsepower of what's cooking up." The second sees Diesel sporting his character's shirt plugging the garage, with the motto, "Heart, Family, Legacy."

Jason Statham wasn’t always an action movie legend. He started out as a competitive diver, and even modeled for Tommy Hilfiger and Levi’s. But as soon as he made his big screen debut in Guy Ritchie’s “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” it was obvious. A star was being born.
Statham’s gravely voice, martial arts talent and toned physique served him well, and he quickly became one of the most recognizable action heroes of the 21st century, starring in billion dollar blockbusters and quirky crime thrillers, with a smattering of tough as nails or just plain weird genre films in the middle. And sometimes he also pokes fun at his grizzled persona, proving that he’s having just as much fun as we are.
Not every Jason Statham movie is great, but a lot of them are better than they get credit for. And even the silly ones are often 100% pure Statham.

In the new dark horror-comedy from A24, Death of a Unicorn, absurdity meets the macabre in a deliciously fantastical fashion. The feature debut by director-writer Alex Scharfman, the movie centers around a father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) who accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while driving to his billionaire boss’s estate. Upon arrival, their host (Richard E. Grant) and his insufferable family become eager to exploit the unicorn’s body for its magical, medicinal properties. As the story unfolds, Death of a Unicorn pokes fun at the elite, reminding us that sometimes the upper crust does actually get a taste of its own medicine—and, in this case, a little extra horn to boot.

Jason Statham’s latest action thriller begins playing in theaters everywhere this weekend, but how does it stack up to his other movies? Early previews start today for A Working Man, but enough reviews for the film have come in to give it a 65% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This comes from 37 reviews at the time of writing, so it is subject to change as more reviews come in over the weekend, but this is still a solid score that falls only slightly below The Beekeeper, which earned a 71% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. However, The Beekeeper netted a strong 92% score from audiences on the aggregate site. If A Working Man is also well-received by audiences, it could become a box office hit similar to The Beekeeper, which grossed over $150 million globally.
A Working Man’s 65% Rotten Tomatoes score falls outside the top 10 on the list of the highest-rated Jason Statham movies.

Vin Diesel has been asked to direct a "precursor" to ‘Fast X: Part 2’.The 57-year-old actor - who has portrayed Dominic 'Dom' Toretto in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise since its debut in 2001 - previously helmed the short film ‘Los Bandoleros’ to fill in the gaps for his character between the events of the first movie and 2009’s ‘Fast and Furious’ and has now revealed he has once again been asked by Universal Pictures to helm a prequel set before the events of the eleventh and final entry into the high-speed action series.Taking to Instagram, Diesel posted a picture of himself in character as Dom and his co-star Michelle Rodriguez as Leticia 'Letty' Ortiz and added the caption: "I am reminded of that critical moment in the 'Fast' franchise, where we had just wrapped the fourth film… "The studio asked me to direct the precursor to the film,...

At the start of 2025, Vin Diesel hyped up production for Fast X: Part 2 on social media by unveiling Dominic Toretto’s classic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 from 2001’s The Fast and the Furious. The car was famously destroyed by a truck in the original blockbuster hit’s finale involving a final race with Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker). Teasing how "history is being made," the car’s reintroduction by Diesel may well be a sign about the next Fast installment potentially dialing back the outrageous espionage adventures in favor of providing fans a full-circle moment for the long-running franchise.

Action movie fans are in for a treat this month, as one of the most underrated examples of the genre (and one helmed by Taken director Pierre Morel no less) is all set to land on free streaming. Released more than two decades ago in 2004, District B13 boasts all manner of martial arts, shoot-outs, explosions, breathtaking parkour, and even social commentary as it drops audiences in the far-flung future of, erm, 2010 and one of the poor, crime-ridden suburbs of Paris: Banlieue 13, Aka B13.
Helmed by the creative team behind Liam Neeson’s action movie renaissance hit Taken, director Pierre Morel, and writer and producer Luc Besson, District B13 stars David Belle as main character Leïto, a rebel who lives within the confines of B13, with underrated martial arts actor Cyril Raffaelli as Damien Tomaso, an undercover officer who joins forces with Leïto after the pair are targeted by a merciless gangster,...

Commitment is Vin Diesel’s middle name, given how he has dedicated himself to the Fast & Furious franchise for around two decades. From street racing to heists, and even launching a car into space, he has steered Dom Toretto’s journey like a true family man. Therefore, when it came to casting someone to play his brother in F9: The Fast Saga, it became an anxious task for the star.

But then John Cena showed up as one of the biggest surprises in the saga, playing Dom’s long-lost brother, Jakob Toretto, in F9. Now, Cena’s casting wasn’t just a studio decision because, according to Vin Diesel, the late Paul Walker had something to do with it. Yep, get ready for a story that’s all about fate, family, and a little Hollywood magic!

In the summer of 2001, Vin Diesel became a household name. The Fast and the Furious, which was designed as little more than a modestly budgeted action programmer, became the breakout hit of that summer, capturing the cultural zeitgeist in a way that’s hard to reverse engineer. The film, XXX, was among the most hyped films of the decade, with many thinking it would be such a phenomenon that it would make the Bond franchise irrelevant. That didn’t quite happen,...
