"Christopher Nolan is an IP unto himself. Only a handful of directors are well known to the general public, and he is currently at the top of that list." Those are the words of box office analyst Jeff Bock speaking to Variety in 2024 about Christopher Nolan. At the time, the Oscar-winning director had just locked down a deal to bring his next movie, which we now know to be "The Odyssey," to Universal, just as he did with "Oppenheimer."

Why Leonardo DiCaprio’s Career Hinges On Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Leonardo DiCaprio stands today at a moment in his life that feels like a turning point, the kind of moment that decides whether the legend of an actor will remain untouchable or begin to fade into memory. Born in Los Angeles and sculpted by an industry that once crowned him its golden boy, he rose from Titanic’s impossible scale to the pinnacle of Hollywood stardom.
Worldwide, millions of people were persuaded there was no actor of his generation who carried more heft, no player who could so perfectly blend the popular and the artful.

As Christopher Nolan fans prepare — one year in advance — to watch the filmmaker's new ambitious project, The Odyssey, it's important to remember that a good number of his movies are worth revisiting. It's been 19 years since The Prestige was first released, and it's still a thrilling ride full of surprises that's worth watching. If you own a Samsung device and somehow missed it, we have some great news: this month, the movie is available to stream for free on Samsung TV Plus.
The Prestige tells the story of two rival illusionists who want to pull the ultimate trick, but they don't take their craft lightly, They are willing to do...

Played before Jurassic Park Rebirth during its first screenings, the teaser set the stage for a massive, emotional journey.
Clocking in at just over a minute, the trailer features Matt Damon as Odysseus, his son Telemachus played by Tom Holland, and Jon Bernthal in a mysterious role. Plus, the trailer features a haunting voiceover describing a broken world after war, with Zeus’ law destroyed and Odysseus’ fate uncertain.

Not every actor can afford to be picky about the roles they end up taking. It's a brutal industry to be selective in. But if you see an upcoming film that stars an actor like Leonardo DiCaprio, that means he truly believes in the project. The teen heartthrob turned Academy Award-winning actor boasts quite the filmography having worked with such celebrated filmmakers as James Cameron ("Titanic"), Christopher Nolan ("Inception"), Steven Spielberg ("Catch Me If You Can"), and Sam Raimi ("The Quick and the Dead"). Working with any one of those names would give you some boost of credibility, but the fact that he's also fostered a working relationship with the legendary Martin Scorsese across six (soon to be seven with "Devil in the White City") films in two decades is a real feather in his cap. And now DiCaprio's next big role comes to us courtesy of one of our...

Christopher Nolan’s Inception wasn’t just another summer blockbuster. When it hit theaters in 2010, it sparked debates, inspired think pieces, and left audiences reeling with its mind-bending concept of shared dreams and layered realities. More than a decade later, Inception hasn’t faded into cinematic history, it’s only grown more iconic.
Even for Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, making Inception was an unsettling experience. Known for diving deep into his roles, DiCaprio admitted that this film made him feel unsure of himself. Its complex plot, emotional layers, and ambitious scope challenged him in ways he didn’t expect.

Brad Pitt’s F1 is currently dominating headlines and box office records, but Bullet Train leaves it in the dust when it comes to a soundtrack showdown. The 2022 action-comedy movie Bullet Train, based on Kōtarō Isaka’s novel Maria Beetle, wasn’t just a thrilling watch due to its stylistic visuals, amazing cast, and twists, but also the music!
And even though F1’s whole album featured music from global giants, it couldn’t quite deliver the same emotions. Both movies had sky-high ambition, but let’s look at how they compare when it comes to soundtracks and what F1 exactly needed to elevate itself on the musical front.

F1 was scored by Hans Zimmer, the legendary music director who’s known for composing masterpieces in movies like Interstellar, Gladiator, and Inception.

About a year ago, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett teamed up on Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, cruising through questions until they hit a wall at the $250,000 mark. The question stumped them, and it was all about a Christopher Nolan movie.
Nolan’s a big deal—most folks love his work, from The Dark Knight to Dunkirk. But when Ray and Brad faced a question about one of his iconic films, they couldn’t crack it.The question was: To make a super realistic farm without any CGI, Christopher Nolan planted a 500-acre cornfield in western Canada for which movie?
The options were Oppenheimer, Tenet, Inception, or Interstellar. Brad, joking around, threw out “Field of Dreams” before the choices even popped up.
Via 2waytraffic
Ray thought it was either Inception or Interstellar but leaned toward Inception. They didn’t risk it, walking away with $125,000. The right answer? Interstellar.

Almost a year ago, Ray Romano and Brad Garrett teamed up for an episode of Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. The two were doing great, making their way up the ladder without much trouble, until they reached the $250,000 question. That’s when things got tricky.
The question they faced was: “To create a realistic-looking farm without using CGI, Christopher Nolan had a 500-acre cornfield planted in western Canada for which of his films?”

The options were Oppenheimer, Tenet, Inception, and Interstellar. Before the answers even popped up, Brad Garrett joked, “Field of Dreams.” Romano thought it was either C or D. But instead of risking it, the two decided to walk away with $125,000. If they had to guess, they would have gone with Inception. Unfortunately, the right answer was Interstellar.

Horror is a strangely addictive genre. No matter how many times it makes my skin crawl and keeps my mind up at night, I keep coming back. I've enjoyed countless horror films, from arthouse passion projects to schlocky slashers; it's all entertaining to watch morbid motion pictures. It's all from a distance, and the character's choices and mistakes are not my own.
However, it's another experience entirely to step into the shoes of the character and be responsible for all their actions. Horror video games offer an uncomfortably intimate perspective between the player and the fears being portrayed, sometimes reaching out to interact with us. In horror video games, the character you control can't survive without you, and that heightened anxiety is unmatched compared to every other medium of fiction.

The legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan just turned 55 on July 30, 2025. As the icon celebrates his birthday, fans revisit some of his classics like Inception, Batman Begins, and now Oppenheimer. More recently, there have been speculations around Odyssey’s release on Netflix, although there’s been no official update. However, there are a few forgotten Nolan films that aren’t being talked about nearly enough.

There are plenty of movies that deserve to be universally praised. Maybe the casting is flawless, the story hits all the right notes, and the direction is top-tier. Fans walk away loving it, quoting it, rewatching it. But do the critics always agree? Not really. A film can have all the right ingredients and still miss the mark with critics.
Just look at something like Heat with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, or David Fincher’s Zodiac starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Both are modern classics in the eyes of fans, yet they’re not exactly topping the Rotten Tomatoes charts.
To truly earn a high Rotten Tomatoes score, a movie has to land with both audiences and critics alike. It has to offer something special, whether it’s a bold story, unforgettable characters, or a fresh take that no one saw coming. Some movies do just that, crushing it at...

Daniela Forever is directed by Nacho Vigalondo, who put out the strikingly original and quite excellent Colossal back in 2018, and also the 2007 genre masterpiece Timecrimes; both movies I adore, infinitely. Logically, every movie is a new thing built from scratch, but with such a unique craftsman like Vigalondo at the helm of it, I had a lot of expectations from Daniela Forever. Maybe that’s the reason I ended up being so underwhelmed after sitting through it. While I wouldn’t necessarily call this a terrible film, this one just doesn’t hit the sweet spot. Vigalondo’s signature directorial style is there, but neither that nor an earnest lead performance by British actor Henry Golding can come to the rescue. What also doesn’t help is the unmistakable resemblance to Inception and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, both much superior, almost perfect movies, in comparison to this. Anyway,...

Legendary film composer Hans Zimmer, known for his dozens of iconic movie scores in films such as The Dark Knight, Dune: Part Two, Top Gun: Maverick, and Gladiator, will provide the soundtrack for HBO's highly anticipated Euphoria season 3.
According to Deadline, Euphoria season 3 creator Sam Levinson "wrote the third season of HBO drama series Euphoria while listening to the scores of Interstellar and True Romance," both of which Zimmer created. Zimmer will compose the original score for Euphoria season 3 with British musician Labrinth, who provided the celebrated music for the show's first two seasons.
While Zimmer has primarily worked on movies throughout his decade-spanning career, Euphoria won't be his first venture into narrative TV. He co-produced the score of Apple's upcoming Chief of War series starring Jason Momoa and has composed the theme music for Emmy-winning series such as The Crown and The Pacific.

Few modern directors have had the sustained critical success that Christopher Nolan has found over the last three decades. Sure, there have been weaker moments -- the entirety of "The Dark Knight Rises," some would argue, or any time he's tried to write a woman outside of "Interstellar" -- but it's also impossible to argue with the sheer number of hits. "Inception," "Memento," "Oppenheimer," "The Prestige," "The Dark Knight," "Dunkirk," the list goes on and on.
Though "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Tenet" are probably the most polarizing of Nolan's movies, neither holds his lowest audience score on IMDb. That "honor" belongs to one of his earliest films: 2002's "Insomnia." A remake of the 1997 Norwegian movie of the same name, "Insomnia" is a psychological crime thriller starring Al Pacino, Robin Williams, and Hilary Swank. Yet, despite that strong core cast, it is the worst-rated movie in Nolan's filmography on IMDb,...

Fast cars, big drama, and a Hans Zimmer score? Well, it sounds like a winning combo until fans hit the brakes. F1: The Movie features Zimmer’s signature blend of orchestra and electronic music crafted with longtime collaborator Steve Mazzaro. But sadly, not everyone’s convinced the Oscar-winning composer is fully in the driver’s seat. Nope. As one Reddit user put it,
I’m assuming it’s more like a media production company at this point. He’s surely going to get paid, but the actual music production is probably done by ghost artists at this point, with him only touching the really important projects (aka Christopher Nolan movies).
Despite the chatter, Zimmer has cleared the air and has already been upfront about the teamwork involved, especially with input from F1 champ Lewis Hamilton and his touring band.

Julian Flores is determined to watch “The Odyssey” in Imax 70mm, exactly as director Christopher Nolan intends for it to be seen — even if that means buying tickets for opening weekend 12 months in advance.
But Flores, a 24-year-old employee of Universal Studios living in Burbank, knew that the competition for seats would be fierce. Instead of logging on to Fandango along with thousands of other film fans in the dead of night Wednesday, Flores instead made the trek to his local AMC and secured his ticket in person.
“When I went to the counter, the employees started laughing like I was crazy for getting tickets a year in advance,” Flores says. “I don’t blame them. It’s completely crazy for me to even be thinking about what I’ll be doing some Thursday in July of 2026.”
But a few hours later, Flores gets the last laugh. Universal’s unprecedented...

Universal Pictures is clearly very high on director Christopher Nolan's upcoming adaptation of "The Odyssey." The star-studded blockbuster is set to hit theaters next summer -- exactly one year from the date of this article's publication -- and the hype is already evident ... so much so that Universal did something totally unprecedented, selling tickets for 70mm IMAX showings of Nolan's latest a full year before the movie arrives. Even more wild? The demand was overwhelming.
Only 30 screens throughout the world are capable of showing the movie on true 70mm IMAX and when those locations listed tickets for sale this morning, rabid cinephiles logged on in droves to scoop up tickets for summer 2026, almost as though this were a big concert like Taylor Swift or Metallica. The vast majority of these showings are already sold out. It seems difficult to fathom that it wasn't all that long ago many of...

Tickets for Christopher Nolan’s new movie, The Odyssey, went on sale a full year before its release, and they sold out almost immediately. This shows just how popular Nolan is. He’s known for hits like The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar.
Because of his track record, his name alone draws huge audiences. Nolan’s unique style also means studios trust him to make movies that still earn big money. For example, Oppenheimer was a three-hour, R-rated film with long talking scenes and some black-and-white shots, yet it got a full IMAX run, made nearly a billion dollars, and won many Oscars.
Thanks to that success, Nolan was given a blank check to make The Odyssey, which is based on one of the most famous stories ever told. We don’t know yet if the movie will be rated PG-13 or R, but no matter what, it’s...

Tickets for Christopher Nolan’s new film, The Odyssey, went on sale a whole year before its release, and they sold out almost instantly. Nolan is known as one of the biggest directors in the industry. His hits like The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar have made his name a guaranteed draw at the box office.
He’s famous for sticking to his vision while still bringing in big money. Even Oppenheimer, a three-hour R-rated film mostly about conversations and shot partly in black and white, had a full IMAX run and made nearly a billion dollars, winning big at the Oscars.
Because of that huge success, Nolan got the green light to make The Odyssey, an adaptation of the classic story. It’s not clear yet if the film will be rated PG-13 or R, but it’s sure to bring in crowds. The movie stars a strong cast including Matt Damon,...
