Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

I do have respect for the game. It a vision that was fully fleshed out, they decided to make it look horrible and they made some story choices that I have not seen other games. Is it good no but it's interesting.

This is the most mediocre person shooter gameplay, I have played. There is no enjoyment in it at all. It's a step back Kane and Lynch 1. No Variety to it. What you do at the Beginning, is what you will do to the end . There is maybe two turret segments, but nothing else.

Never has a game try to look this awful on purpose and oh my God it works. It looks like the worst digital camera from 2010 has been used to create this video game. Had to turn on steadycam to not get headache.

It has really good audio designs you can hear the echoes. You can hear the camera barely picking up some sounds because they are so loud. The bitrate being so low audios sounds weird. It's just really well designed.

If you want to torture your friend, so you can play this co-op mode. Is the game fun, no.

Only play if your masochist like me.

... from Dead Men, this second instalment is certainly something to write home about. It is a major improvement from the first game, as a lot of us would expect. The game is based entirely in Shanghai, China. There are four difficulty option's including extreme, which will require certainly an abundance of determination and patience.

Instead of a melee attack on the wave's of enemy's you will face off against at close range, you rather use them as human shield's and you also can choose to "throw" an enemy at another to cause a brief distraction.

Most of the achievement's for this game, as I play on the Microsoft Xbox, are online co=op achievement's. Get a friend over and play co-op.

I think this game is unique, alongside Dead Men, because of it's grit. You wouldn't want a ten year old playing this, it has been rated R18. In New Zealand, it has been classified as R18, at least. It is like watching a highly offensive movie with a lot of swearing, sex scenes and violence.

Just buy it, it is cheap as chip's now. The thrill is worth the money.

Do not buy this game. There is no gameplay, physic or story. The game starting with the ridiculous camera which is blurring & shaking like 144p Chinese. When the game started, we spent about 10 minutes to figure out that there is no jumping button. I don't know it's whose idea to add x2 crouch (double C) for jump in the game but it's not even worth. Also the shooting doesn't feel like shooting. What i need to do for kill the enemy while i'm shooting through head closely. Also the man who we need to protect, running arround like "Hey enemy kill me! So their mission will failure." dumb. Take cover, shoot, wait, take cover, shoot, wait and again do the same. Am I playing 2D Atarii duck shooting game? Couple of things i can say "good" or "fine" for this game; It's in Asia and CO-OP story mode...

Kane and Lynch 2 differs heavily from the 2007 game. Jesper Kyd's gloomy music is gone (a shame, since I rather liked it), the camera system is radically different, and the partner system has also been done away with. This time you play as crazed psychopath Lynch, a man so anti-social he'd make Al Capone run and hide. Or at least he used to be. In this game Lynch is on his meds, and his edge is blunt. So he's basically just a generic run and gun anti-hero. What a wasted opportunity.

The story opens in Shanghai where Kane arrives to help Lynch with a lucrative opportunity. Before we can make sense of anything further two important people are dead and the anti-heroes are getting the blame. A battle rages across several locations as Kane and Lynch desperately try to escape the city. That's it as far as plot goes. No big twists, no innovative narrative techniques. Just kill, kill, kill. You get to play as Kane in the last level, but for the bulk of the game he's just a background character helping you blast away at the legions of bad guys filling the screen.

The story mode can be completed in about four hours. The game gives away trophies like there was no tomorrow, but...the majority of them are for online play. I have to be honest, most of the game's lasting appeal and scope comes from the various online modes (which I have no interest in). It's primarily an online game with a story mode shoehorned in as an afterthought.

I have faith the franchise, Kane and Lynch are terrific characters, but for their third outing the developers really do have to deliver an EPIC game for the ages and not a cheap quickie trading off a mediocre brand name.

Graphics A Sound A Gameplay B Lasting Appeal D+

The developers have forgotten about it, the press has forgotten about it, and gamers have forgotten about it. And I've almost forgotten about it till I remembered out of thin air I played this like only a few weeks ago. It does have an ending so abrupt you have to see it to believe it, credit where credit's due I suppose.
