I just watched the first episode of this show on Itunes and I have to say that although there is a bit more storyline than jokes, this show is HILARIOUS. The characters are far more mature than what is seen in typical Farelly brothers comedy, which actually makes the show far more appealing. I think that this first show played it safe as far as "edginess", and given the context of what this show's subject matter portrays, you can expect a lot more from this show in the coming weeks. I can't say this show will have a serious future like Friends or Seinfeld, but I can definitely see this show going for a while. I mean seriously, who hasn't secretly snickered at something COMPLETELY childish *ahem dumb and dumber*? It's a great comedy for the child in adults and I think it will definitely do well. Definitely can't wait to see more!
I thought it was great! it is awesome. Rasia Jones plays exactly like Elaine. even though nothing could beat Seinfeld. it was close. there was a small nerdy guy - George and 2 taller overconfident guys - jerry and Kramer.
I thought that it was not disappointing at all! how dare you say that!
Thought it was excellent
definitely recommend it! Watch it Sunday nights! Definitely watch it. i may have a different opinion than other people. but i have watched many shows. and i think it is great. Unhitched is a good way to get a laugh!!!!!!!!!!

I also watched the pilot as well as the second episode and completely disagree. How can you say this show isn't funny? It's about time TV shows were funny again. There are only so many Back to You's and Until Death's we can take. If you don't find this show funny, you might want to check your sense of humor meter. It's probably you.
I actually thought the second episode was slightly funnier than the first. The cast seems to be having a great time and it really shows. Reminds a lot of Seinfeld, but has it's own identity. I love how it goes for the humor, but keeps the characters grounded. Rashida Jones is the next big star and Craig Bierko is a solid leading man. The other two actors seem like a couple of sleepers. I bet this show has a long, long run. At least I hope it does.

This show is pathetic.
It's the worst show I've ever seen.
I hate this show.
Avoid watching it at all costs unless you are blind and deaf and have no sense of humor whatsoever.
Whoever is responsible for making this show and putting it on TV should be beaten to death in the town square so that everyone can get a few kicks and punches in.
Unhitched is unparalleled when it comes to being PATHETIC.
I need another line? Okay.... Unhitched sucks hairy mangoes.

I felt compelled to make this posting after reading a couple pretty visceral postings which seemed inexplicably hateful about this rather light and funny show. Lighten up, geez! It's a brand new 30-minute sitcom on Fox that follows a cartoon! Go watch some tired old Seinfeld reruns and give the rest of us a break.
Part of why I like the show so far is that it doesn't take itself seriously, it feels playful and not so staged or forced. These people look and sound like they're having fun, and so the funny lines flow and don't feel so much like punchlines. The writing isn't afraid to go after the less-tame quirks that come with bad dates and I'm-conspicuously-over-30-and uncomfortably-single insecurity. The characters aren't as hopelessly selfish and dysfunctional as the Seinfeld quartet, and (gratefuly) they're not running around with quizzical "I'm perfect and surrounded by morons" expressions like the cast of Friends' characters always were, which frankly annoyed the hell out of me after awhile. (I still shake my head in amazement that Jennifer Anniston has since been able to redeem herself to me as a fine actor...unlike the rest of them.)
So give this kid some air, will-ya? At least the show truly comes from Boston - the writer/creators AND those famous directors are all from New England - and uptight Boston should be ready for something more contemporary than "Cheers" to see its untidy reflection in.
