Along with star and creator Jason Sudeikis, the Apple TV+ comedy series set the return of Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift as filming kicked off Monday in Kansas City. Additional photography will pick up later on in London. A big change in the show’s roster comes in the recasting of Ted’s son Henry, with Grant Feely taking over the role from Gus Turner.

Season 4 follows Ted’s return to Richmond, where he is set to take on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.

“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” the logline states.

Recently, I re-watched Ted Lasso to brush up on the lore and prepare myself for the upcoming season. One thing that I stuck out like a sore thumb that I did not realize the first time was when, in Season 2, Episode 7, titled “Headspace,” Nate kisses Keeley. It was a shocking scene that I was surprised to see in the final cut!

Even Reddit threads made it weirder for me to analyse the scene. This became a notable scene that has gone around and become a point of discussion. Both the characters had their space and situations, but what is more to see through is the fact that Keeley is already Roy’s girlfriend at this point, not to mention the issue of consent.

It struck a perfect balance between heart and humor, turning even casual viewers into emotionally invested fans. And the best part? The love for soccer isn’t just on screen. The show’s creators—and several of its stars—are actual soccer fans in real life.

Directed by French director Cédric Nicolas-Troyan, the feature is an English-language, live action adaptation of best-selling graphic novel franchise Blake and Mortimer by Edgar P. Jacobs.

The franchise, which has sold 20 million copies worldwide and been translated into 15 languages, revolves around the adventures of MI5 Captain Francis Blake and his scientist friend Philip Mortimer. Mylchreest will play Blake opposite Dunster as Mortimer.

Mister Smith Entertainment will launch international sales in Cannes on the French-Belgian-uk co-production, currently slated for a September 2025 start of principal photography, shooting mostly in the UK and Belgium. CAA is representing the US rights. Belga will distribute the film in Benelux.

Now that season 4 has been announced, I do feel a tinge of excitement, but also a wave of anxiety. I’m not sure if they could bring back the emotional punches that we weren’t truly ready for, but deeply needed in the first three seasons.

Can it create casual viewers into loyalists?
