La sinopsis de En el enjambre no podría ser más intrigante (dejando en el aire la trama y personajes de la historia). En la oscuridad de la colmena, las normas que rigen la sociedad de las abejas son inflexibles. Todas trabajan para todas, todas tienen una labor asignada, todas se ayudan entre sí y juntas forman un ente superior que las protege: el enjambre. ¿Cuánto vale la vida de una abeja obrera? Un individuo no tiene derecho a poner en peligro la subsistencia del grupo.

Legendary Entertainment has promoted longtime marketing executive Di Mu to CEO of Legendary East, the studio’s China-based promotion and marketing division responsible for overseeing local campaigns for both Legendary titles and select third-party releases. Mu will report directly to Legendary CEO Josh Grode.

“Di Mu has been an invaluable member of Legendary East, playing an integral role in the execution of our local campaigns in China,” Grode said in a statement. “Her knowledge of the market, creativity, and leadership make her the ideal person to lead our next chapter in the region.”

Mu joined Legendary East in 2016 and most recently served as EVP of Marketing. With more than two decades of experience in film marketing and media strategy, she has a reputation as one of China’s more effective champions of Hollywood IP. She has led marketing efforts for 12 Legendary titles in China, with total local box office revenues exceeding $1.34 billion.

Dune producer Legendary Entertainment has appointed Di Mu as CEO of Legendary East, the China-based division that handles promotion, marketing and the release of its titles in the territory.

Mu was previously executive vice president of marketing at Legendary East, which she joined in 2016, and has more than 22 years of experience in film marketing, creative advertising and integrated media strategy. She will report to Legendary CEO Joshua Grode.

Exclusive: Legendary Entertainment has hired 30-year marketing and publicity vet Marisa McGrath Liston as EVP of Publicity & Communications.

The former Lionsgate global marketing and publicity head will oversee all publicity and communications strategy and execution, working across Legendary’s divisions, including film, television, digital media, comics, gaming, and more.

Liston will report to Blair Rich, Legendary’s Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer. The news comes in the wake of Legendary’s mega success with Warner Bros co-production A Minecraft Movie which is coursing to $900M at the global box office. Legendary’s Pacific Rim series has landed at Amazon MGM Studios. The two studios will adapt the IP together (with Legendary in first position) for Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.

The Pacific Rim TV project, currently in development, is the first from Legendary’s first-look television deal with Eric Heisserer and his Chronology banner. Heisserer will write and executive produce the series.

The Pacific Rim universe first launched in 2013 with the Guillermo del Toro-directed feature film of the same name. The title has since expanded into animated television (Pacific Rim: The Black), comic books, novels, gaming and toys. In 2018, Steve S. DeKnight wrote and directed a second feature film in the franchise: Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Apple TV+ has given the greenlight to a second season of its debut German original Where’s Wanda?.

Starring Heike Makatsch (Love Actually) and Axel Stein (The Vault), the dark comedy follows the Klatts. Just as they thought their lives were finally returning to normal, their daughter Wanda (Lea Drinda) is caught seemingly red-handed, standing over a dead body. They will need to do everything in their power to prove her innocence and to avoid losing her again, as their investigation to find the real murderer takes them into the criminal underbelly of their sleepy suburban town.

Where’s Wanda? is produced by Germany’s UFA Fiction. It is one of a number of Apple TV+ non-English language shows, joining the likes of France’s La Maison and Spain’s You Would Do It Too. Yesterday, Apple launched Berlin ER, the German-language medical drama co-created by former emergency room physician-turned-screenwriter Samuel Jefferson.

Apple TV+ has acquired global rights to Spanish rom-com series Love You to Death.

The streamer has acquired rights to the seven-ep series, which is from Spanish broadcaster Atresmedia TV and created by director Dani de la Orden (Casa en Flames). It will debut on Apple TV+ globally on Wednesday, February 5, 20205, with two episodes, followed by new ones each week until March 12.

Series stars Verónica Echegui (Orígenes Secretos) and Joan Amargós (Show Yourself) as a pair of friends who strike up an unlikely romance. Apple TV+ has acquired the global rights to the Spanish-language mystery series “Tú También lo Harías” (“You Would Do It Too”), Variety has learned.

The eight-episode show hails from Legendary Television and Espotlight Media. It will debut globally as an Apple original series on Oct. 30 with its first two episodes, with new episodes debuting every week thereafter until the season finale on Dec. 11.

The series stars Ana Polvorosa (“Cable Girls”), Michelle Jenner (“Berlin”), Pablo Molinero (“The Plague”), and José Manuel Poga (“Money Heist”).
