The storyline of the movie is exquisitely beautiful, poignantly capturing the essence of a father-son relationship. Boman Irani's directorial debut is a true masterpiece, showcasing his versatility as not only a talented actor but also a skilled director and writer. This emotionally charged film is a rollercoaster of emotions, effortlessly shifting between moments of laughter and tears. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and firmly believe that more films like this need to be made. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew! 'The Mehta Boys' is an absolute must-watch, featuring heartwarming performances from the entire cast 😍😍😍
This story revolves around the relationship between a father and his son, who has long parted ways in terms of home and ideology. However, both of them yearn to settle their differences and shine in each other's eyes.
The roles played by Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwary are just superb. They fit the characters very well. Their demeanor helps to portray the differences between this father-son duo. But will they reconcile and be a happy family together?
That's the crux of the movie. Though the story is quite heartwarming, the directorial choices are quite debatable. It starts with a very slow approach, which could have been totally avoidable. Yet, I would recommend this movie to any person who has/had a beef with their parents and hope this will shed some light on their relationship.

Overview:
Overall, I enjoyed this picture. It is extremely well acted and gripping. Even though it is a family drama, at no point does it feel slow or boring. I do wish they could have gone a bit deeper into what caused the rift between father and son, that would have added a bit more gravitas to the film.
Plot: The plot centers around the Mehta family who has just lost the mother of the family. Before migrating with his daughter to America, Shiv Mehta (Boman Irani) has to stay for a few days with his estranged son, Amay (Avinash Tiwary) - an architect who is not comfortable sharing his ideas at work.
The story focuses on the relationship between father and son and how that spills over into other areas of their lives.
Acting: The acting is excellent, with great performances by the two leads, Irani and Tiwary. They do manage to showcase the right emotions as the two men try to understand each other. They are ably supported by Puja Sarup as Anu Mehta and Shreya Chaudhry as Zara. Chaudhry in particular was excellent and is really excelling as an actress.
Conclusion: A good watch if you enjoy family dramas. Would recommend this movie.

Boman Irani's Mehta Boys explores the troubled relationship between a father and a son. The story unfolds after the loss of the mother when they are forced to live together for 48 hours. Without being too direct, the film beautifully establishes their strained bond through subtle interactions and mannerisms. The father and son's stubbornness is portrayed well, highlighting both the emotional distance and the care they still have for each other.
The setting, architectural commentary on the city, and subtle humor add to the film's charm. The camera work and editing are excellent, immersing the audience in the film's world despite a limited cast.
Avinash Tiwary once again proves his talent and is undoubtedly an actor here to stay. However, it is Boman Irani who truly shines as the father, excelling in portraying the character's stubbornness and affection simultaneously. Shreya Chaudhary and Puja Sarup provide solid support. The film offers glimpses into the reasons behind their strained relationship, though a deeper exploration could have strengthened the emotional connection. Overall, Mehta Boys captures one of the most beautiful yet complex relationships-the bond between a father and son-with honesty and warmth. A heartfelt and refreshing watch. Highly recommended!

Had the pleasure of watching The Mehta Boys. I had high expectations after seeing the trailer, and the film not only met but exceeded them.
Boman Irani-what can I even say? We've all seen his brilliance in Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and so many other films, but with this, he proves that he's just as incredible a director as he is an actor. Every frame, every scene is crafted so beautifully-it's truly a work of art.
Avinash Tiwary was phenomenal too. His performance was powerful, and it's amazing to see such talent getting the platform it deserves.
I'm not someone who usually writes reviews, but this film absolutely deserves all the love. If you haven't watched The Mehta Boys yet, do yourself a favor and go see it. A must-watch!
