Yes this show is touching, fascinating, bold, different. But these sorts of descriptions put me off watching it, because I am a very shallow person and generally avoid things described as 'profound', 'thought-provoking', 'moving' etc. What I realise having watched the first season and just starting the second, is that it is fun. Fun fun fun! Funny, fast-moving, addictive fun. This really should be said more, because it might help the show reach emotionally immature people like myself.

Have now completed the second season and I must say I was truly touched and astounded by the very believable characters (great casting) and quality of writing.

The weaving together of such a complex aspect of reality namely correcting ones mistakes and healing past trauma, has been portrayed excellently and with tender finesse and compassion.

I thoroughly recommend this series to all those who have an attention span greater than 3 mins.

If you've ever suffered mental illness, felt alone, let others down, felt uncomfortable, made others feel uncomfortable, or questioned your reality, this is for you.

Kate Purdy as the series creator, deserves how beautifully her story has been told.

Rosa Salazar once again proves how deserving she has of her massive cult following.

Well written and beautifully done. Each character is strongly written and the story is compelling. Life, death, and whatever may fall in between. If you're looking for something different, this is it, and more!

I never write reviews, blah blah blah, but oh my goodness, what a ride! I loved the first season and feel like I've been waiting eagerly for s02 for eons. Put it on last night and couldn't help but scoff the lot.

One of the things that makes this show great is that it's 2 shows in one: a sci if fantasy, and a black comedy drama about mental illness. Season 2 goes bigger, bolder, crazier, and even cleverer I think. They never compromise substance for style, but just inundate us with both. Honestly would happily binge the lot again the very next day. There's so much to enjoy as a fantastical roller coaster alone, but the metaphorical realism woven throughout packs such an emotional punch. And helps us to understand more deeply how human beings work. How trauma affects us. How unhealed wounds are passed down and ripple out through generations. There's so much to unpack, whilst also still being so entertaining, it's really pretty astonishing.

Genuinely, perhaps the most I've ever enjoyed a season of a tv show. I couldn't believe there weren't already more reviews marvelling at this show's achievements so here you go. Watch it. Right now. You need to.
