The Last Podcast on the Left co-host Henry Zebrowski has announced new movie seemingly titled UFO: Unbelievably Friendly Organisms.

First contact was made via Instagram, which touts the project as “a film from the mind of” Zebrowski — implying that he’s writing and/or directing. He’s likely to appear on screen in some capacity as well.

Given the cheeky title and Zebrowski’s comedic background, this could be an irreverent send-up to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

No other details are available at this time, but stay tuned for the next transmission.

In addition to hosting the wildly popular horror podcast alongside longtime friends Marcus Parks and Ed Larson, Zebrowski is an actor and comedian known for his roles in “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell,” “Heroes Reborn,” and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli in the NBC superhero series Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010, has little hope for a second series revival.

"I feel like I've been trained to say, ''never say never,'' but I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing," Ventimiglia told ComicBook while promoting his new film Land of Bad. "I don't think that one's gonna be revisited again. I think it's just one of those things [that] I think they tried, and it didn't quite go," he said about the 13-episode revival, which didn't include much of the original cast.

The six-part docu-series will see each of the installments focus on a single horror character. Additional series subjects are Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Candyman. Adult Swim said Wednesday it is expanding its creative portfolio with the production of four all-new digital short series based on breakout characters from four of the network’s series: Rick and Morty, Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell, Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Each mini spinoff is 8-10 episodes and will be available across Adult Swim’s digital platforms around the world. It comes as the network continues to expand its shows into other formats; earlier this month, Adult Swim confirmed three of its series were getting feature film treatment: Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse and The Venture Bros.

The universes of four hit Adult Swim shows are about to get a bit bigger.

The adult animation network announced on Wednesday the production of digital short spinoff series based on characters from “Rick and Morty,” “Robot Chicken,” “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell” and “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.” Each mini-series will consist of eight to 10 episodes and will be available globally on Adult Swim’s digital platforms.

When Ben Kissel, Marcus Parks, and Henry Zebrowski first premiered their darkly comic true crime and paranormal podcast, The Last Podcast on the Left, in 2011, pop culture was in a much different, perhaps less murder-y place. Landmark true crime podcast series Serial was still three years away, Netflix’s whodunnit Making a Murderer was four years out, and Ted Bundy was still a monster and not a charming antihero played by Zac Efron.

Yes, as is often the case for early podcast trailblazers, the rest of the world caught up. For Kissel, Parks, and Zebrowski, this meant suddenly living in an environment where their deathly niche interests had gone mainstream.

There’s a monster terrorizing screenwriter/co-director Jeremy Gardner’s protagonist in “After Midnight,” and he doesn’t know why, what it is or where it came from. After 83 minutes, we still don’t know, either, but at least it has become clear this is one of those films that “defies categorization” by identifying with a marketable genre it’s nonetheless not really interested in.

Originally titled “Something Else” when it premiered at Tribeca last year, Gardner and collaborator Christian Stella’s film certainly wants to be something other than “just” a horror film, but … what? Ironically for a movie whose hero is accused of evading commitment, “After” also flirts with being a relationship drama, an indie-folk musical, a quirky comedy and whatnot. But none of these things ever quite coalesces, leaving their vehicle a jerry-rigged contraption of variably interesting, likable and skillful elements that only add up to one rather arbitrary goof.

Adult Swim’s premiere Satanic workplace comedy is back for more outrageous takes on Hades’ most incompetent demons!

Hell used to be an untouchable area for television, let alone for comedies, but the medium has grown receptive over the years. Horror has exploded on television since Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell officially premiered on Adult Swim back in 2013. The series has never shied away from the aggressive material that dominates damnation, but the rest of TV has slowly risen to its twisted level.

This series always delivers a feast for the senses, but it’s been two years since the conclusion of season three and this fourth season wrapped production well over a year ago, so it’s great to finally see these new episodes get released. Perhaps it has a lot to do with the absence between seasons, but Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell...

Jeremy Gardner’s Something Else promises a brisk Florida creature feature, ends up a perfect companion to 2014’s Spring based on romantic tone, and seals all-important sincerity during a 90s-classic karaoke performance. “Slow burn” is the name of Gardner’s multifaceted game, as soulful stagnation festers under southern heat rays that cook up feelings of rural entrapment.

Life is beautiful yet fleeting; incomprehensible magnitude that’s as crushing as it can be spiritually freeing. Tribeca 2019’s most sentimental Midnighter is an ode to seeking answers and finding our paths in the most muddied, bizarre ways possible. Expressions of love, defensive barricades against unknowns beating down our doorsteps, and plenty of emptied bottles of cheap red wine. Something Else is indeed…no pun intended…something else.

While the SXSW Film Festival is kicking off in Austin this week, the Tribeca Film Festival will continue to shine a spotlight on upcoming genre films in April and May, including Joe Begos' Bliss, Ant Timpson's Come to Daddy (starring Elijah Wood and Stephen McHattie), and Something Else (directed by Jeremy Gardner and Christian Stella).

Things at podcast network The Roost are about to take a distinctly spooky turn. Creative force Rooster Teeth is announcing on Tubefilter that it has brought horror podcast The Last Podcast on the Left into its network's ranks, and will be the podcast's exclusive sales partner.

The Last Podcast on the Left currently boasts more than one million weekly downloads, and has been delving into the dark side since 2011, covering a wide range of topics including (but very much not limited to) serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, the mass suicide at Jonestown, ghost cats of the South, Satanism, and spectrophilia. Some creative professions are harder than others, and then there’s magic, which requires a leap of faith as much as genuine talent. Conor and Tyler Byrne’s new comedic short film “Loudini” examines the life of a magician and its unique struggle. Commission by Ray Ban, the film follows a down-on-his luck magician (Henry Zebrowski) who loses his rabbit and struggles to keep his act together. “Loudini” also stars Allyn Rachel (“Million Dollar Arm”), Robert Michael Lee (“The Astronaut Farmer”), and Jakob Verweij in his screen debut. Hell, yeah! Adult Swim has renewed Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell for a third season. They were sneaky little devils about it, though. There is no press release from parent-company Turner and nothing in the entertainment media.

This live-action workplace comedy features Henry Zebrowski as Gary, an associate demon trying to climb Hell's corporate ladder by ensnaring human souls. In addition to Zebrowski, the cast of Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell includes: Craig Rowin, Matt Servitto, Dan Triandiflou, Hunter Womach, and Eddie Pepitone.

Netflix has announced plans for a March 11th premiere for "Netflix Presents: The Characters," a series entirely focused on eight up-and-coming comedians and the characters that they play. Andrew Gaynord is directing all eight episodes.

Each comedian will write and appear in his or her own 30-minute episode, presenting a series of sketches doing whatever they want - no limits. Comedians include Lauren Lapkus, Kate Berlant, Dr. Brown, Paul W. Downs, John Early, Tim Robinson, Natasha Rothwell and Henry Zebrowski.

Last weekend, the mighty Star Wars: The Force Awakens was finally dethroned by Ride Along 2, after four straight weeks of box office. Box Office Mojo reports that the awards season favorite The Revenant took the top spot with $16 million. This is the first time it took the top spot in its fifth weekend in theaters.

The Revenant opened in limited release on Christmas Day, before expanding into nationwide release on January. It expanded into 152 more theaters this weekend for a theater count of 3,711 theaters, the widest release of any movie in theaters. The Revenant is riding a wave of buzz thanks to 12 Oscar nominations, along with widespread critical acclaim. Star Wars: The Force Awakens rose from second place to third place with $14.2 million, with Ride Along 2 dropping from first to third place with $12.9 million

Heroes Reborn's finale Project Reborn might be the last episode of Heroes altogether. But is it any good?

With Project Reborn marking not only the end of Heroes Reborn but, in all likelihood, the conclusion of Heroes as a television franchise, an unenviable responsibility rests upon Tim Kring and co. to sign off in style. Thankfully, it must be said that this is one hell of a way to go out.

Arguably the strongest episode of this entire 13-part run, Project Reborn is a relentless yet cohesive barrage of lump-in-throat emotion, pulsating action and fist-pumping moments. There are problems, some minor and some very much not minor, but for the most part the Heroes Reborn finale is as entertaining and gripping as could have been expected.

Bad Bromance. That’s an interesting title… You might not have heard it till the debut of this movie on DVD. Hang on though. Did anyone go and see The D Train in UK cinemas? I tried. In Dirty Grandpa, Zac Efron’s do-gooder Jason Kelly has no idea what he’s getting himself into. When he innocently agrees to help his recently-windowed grandfather (Robert De Niro) get over his loss, Kelly finds himself strung along on the most outrageous of journeys, as his old old man sets about grabbing life by the short and curlies during his twilight years.

Whether you’re excited about Dirty Grandpa – directed by Dan Mazer – will largely depend on your tolerance of De Niro’s more eclectic career choices over the past half-decade or so. It seems no that for every return to form in a film such as Silver Linings Playbook or Joy, we’re left to contend with a cookie-cutter comedy that does little more than to exaggerate the fact that, yes, De Niro is no longer as young as he used to be.

I never thought I’d see Robert De Niro and Zac Efron star in a film together. Then hell froze over and along came a film project called Dirty Grandpa. It’s a raunchy road trip comedy that follows a grandpa and grandson as they travel to Florida. What’s supposed to be an innocent bonding experience turns into a wild spring break adventure.

The red-band trailer that was released gives you a taste of the kind of comedic vulgarity that this movie has to offer. I don't think the movie looks very good, and it’s really weird watching Aubrey Plaza ridiculously throw herself at De Niro sexually all the way through the trailer. Maybe some of you might find it funny, but yeah… I’m not sold on this one. It's just trying way too hard to be funny.
