it was amazing

reading this book is the very definition of being ‘a labour of love.’

this story expects a lot from you. it requires attention, demands emotion, requests a sacrifice of time, asks for unconditional patience, and begs for your heart. but you keep turning the page, you keep coming back to theo and his story, because you know that your efforts, no matter how trying, will be worthwhile.

and it isnt until that last paragraph, you know the one im talking about, the last sentence that just bleeds love and loneliness and beauty and sorrow, that you can close the book and finally say, ‘reading this may have been long, and not always easy, but i am all the better for it.’

reading this book was a labour of love and, oh, how lovingly i laboured.

Milla I’m currently reading it and I’m struggling but I’m loving it at the same time, such mixed feelings. I think I’ll take a break and get back to it because right now I feel like I’m not focusing on it enough and this book deserves all of my attention.

Sophia Karlson This book left me speechless. It is and will always be one of the best books I've ever listened to. Maybe doing the audible version is easier...I couldn't put it 'down' for the last six hours of the story LOL.

jessica cami - i had to take a couple of breaks from it, as well. its such a demanding book that sometimes you just have to set it aside for awhile, so i get it. i do hope it gets easier for you, though! :)

renate - awww. yay! im so happy to hear that you had such a positive reading experience with this and enjoyed it so much! <3

Emily Oof. I have been meaning to pick this one up for a while, but I am generally not a fan of long books, so it has just been sitting there on my shelf! Maybe in another season of life, it will be the right time to give it a try.

jessica i think i had this sitting on my shelf for about two years before i had the courage to pick it up. the size is definitely intimidating, so i completely understand!
