Someone please pass me that voodoo doll? I have to hurt Nora.

Thank you. I'm feeling better now.

I’ve spent the last 8 hours gulping down this book. My fingernails are bitten down, my eyes are red-rimmed, my hair is all tousled because I kept pulling it...basically, I look like a lunatic.

Well, that Nora’s acting beyond stupid in this book has already been established by several readers so I will not waste my breath on this and get all worked up again. I’ve thrown my book across the room several times today already. Enough with the violence.

Nora is a major pain in the ass in this book. Period.

Then there’s Patch. God, even though I know I shouldn't, I've totally got the hots for him. *ducks head in shame*

I really can’t come up with much to say right now, because I’m way too exhausted (sorry Kim) but I think I liked this much more than I was supposed to. What a ride! Guess I like to torture myself... So, if you feel like throwing a fit for hours while reading, I'd recommend you to give Crescendo a shot.

Nic Great review. I still don't if I am strong enough to read this because of Bora but then again it does have Patch!

message 6: by Arlene (new)

Arlene LOL I'm sorry Nora pissed you off, but your review is awesome! The voodoo doll cracked me up. I read and disliked the first book. Don't want to read this one, but DAME you got me curious! LOL Great review Jess!

~Tina~ Haha, Loved this review! Glad you ended up liking it. It's a great book, but dame was Nora the running theme of stupidity that everyone seems to share. Thank God for Patch!

message 8: by Milly (new) - rated it 2 stars

Same! I want to read it now, just to see how annoyed I'd get!
Has anyone braved Torment yet?? Again the cover is calling out to me...

Jessica Thanks guys :D

Nic, if you decide to read it you should probably make sure that you’ll have enough time to finish it in one go. I just couldn’t put it down. I was yelling, I was crying because I was so furious and I was throwing my book across the room. It brought the worst out of me. My eyelid is still twitching.

I heart Patch. He’s ranking high on my literary crush list. There wasn’t enough of him in this book, unfortunately, but let me tell you, there were some scenes with him that made me fan myself frantically ;-)

In retrospect, I have to say that I kinda liked the whole mistrust thing and Patch’s weird behavior, but I think that Fitzpatrick has overdone it a little with Nora’s stupidity. She’s walking a very thin line there because making her main character absolutely infuriating and impossible, could have easily blown up in her face. Partly it has already, I think.

And there are still some things which don’t really add up, in my opinion.

Albie, I haven’t read Torment yet and I’m not sure if I’m going, too. I didn’t like the first one all too much so...

oliviasbooks No way I am reading this. Didn't like neither Nora nor Patch in Hush Hush.

Did you read/like Fallen? That book gave me reader's block! It was awful. But beautiful cover.

message 14: by oliviasbooks (new)

oliviasbooks No, Albie, I've heard enough bad things about Fallen that convinced me the cover would have been better off as a large scale poster than something to lure book lovers into buying.

message 15: by Say (new) - rated it 3 stars

Say you got that right....i totally hated nora in this book!!!

message 16: by Alicia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Alicia Well said, and I was close to throwing the book across the room. I found myself yelling out loud that Nora is an idiot. But I did love this book.

message 17: by Even (new) - rated it 4 stars

Even Lin u people r treating nora like a real person. go yell at the author instead, then. its not her fault shes stupid. its the author.

message 19: by Janina (new)

Janina Hey, wait ... characters in books are not real people?! Gah, my world is shattered!

Jessica It came as a shock to me, too, Janina. I was planning on marrying Ash but now I wonder...how am I supposed to accomplish that if he’s not a real person? My life is over!

message 21: by Lore (last edited 21 fév. 2011 09:49) (new)

Lore NOOOOOOO! Fictional characters are fiction?!

I didn't want to know!! Ahhhhhhhh! *crumbles to the floor and sobs*

message 22: by Janina (new)

Janina What shall we do? I feel devastated ... so empty ... life is never going to be the same again ...

Jessica Aren't there any self-help groups for this? Lynds, I thought you mentioned something to us some time ago...

message 24: by Lore (new)

Lore Yes, yes. Many are too familiar with this phenomena. Just google "im having trouble dealing with the fact that edward cullen is a fictional character". The answers are all there...

message 32: by Kim (new) - rated it 2 stars

Kim Late to the party, as usual. This is hilarious.

Let's all stop reading books now. There's no fun in having an imagination anyway. Let's all be serious and shove a stick up each other's bums.

Jessica LMAO Kim XD

Crystal Bevan i was exactly the same, read it without putting it down and put the book in 'the naughty corner' a few times, not to mention throwing the book around until a crease developed in the cover... oh my!! :O

Midori Sylwester summed up my feelings pretty well.
