I am definitely in the minority here. I liked it, don’t get me wrong but it was nowhere near a five star book for me. This author seems to be a hit or miss for me. Leo, I did not really like. Stinger, I loved it….


I think my expectations were way too high. Note to self, don’t read a book on Release Date unless you are absolutely sure that you will love it.



Every single one of my friends who has read it gave it 5 stars. Pressure was too much and it did not work for me…

It is a lovely story, the characters are nice, the prose flowed but there was something missing to give it that little push for a four or five star review.

It felt more like a YA read than a NA read…. At 48, I might be a bit long in the tooth for these stories…

I hope you enjoy it if you do read it.

Mo About 25% - like it. Loved Stinger, this is very different.

I hope you do read it and I hope you love it. Maybe I should have waited a while until the hype died down... I have been burned before like this. Thanks.

Didi We all can't love the same books, Mo :-)) but I'm glad it wasn't a bust. Good luck with the next one, and I think NA can be a little too young for a lot of us :-))

It was very slow for me up until about 50% (sorry) - picked up a bit then but never really took off for me. I hope you end up loving it.

Anne, you might love it... it has rave reviews all over the place. Give it a shot. As Didi said, we cannot all love the same books.

aksana I agree with you Mo. It was def a beautiful story but not a 5 star read for me either. Still enjoyed it :)
