“Survivor Song”, by Paul Tremblay
Just a short opinion:
This book started very well and got me hooked during the first 25%, but after I lost interest.
I must praise the narrative, even if repetitive.
As for the development of the story, there were good moments, but you must not try to find logic.
It was hard to believe that a doctor would risk other lives just to try to save her best friend, who was pregnant, even though we all know that there were no chances.
I think I expected too much.
My hard copy edition was borrowed from the library. Those readers who love to count pages instead of words will be very pleased.
Hardcover (William Morrow), published July 7, 2020: 328 pages (cover to cover, noting that there are 30 blank pages, plus pages that may have one or two short sentences/paragraphs or just two words)
e-book (Kobo): 368 pages (default), 78k words

"Kudos for the narrative.
I’m not sure about the logic behind the behavior.
But it’s a fictional story, right?"
