This book is such a steaming pile of low-grade, God-fearing, sanctimonious crap, but it at least made me think long and hard about what my religious beliefs would've looked like if I were raised in a cult at one point, so there's that, I guess.

It had a great premise, but quickly went downhill from the second quarter or so.
So true. I think I learned more about (view spoiler) from The Exorcist, a deeply Catholic book, than this one.
