i am so fucking mad at myself. i do this every time lmao. i cannot even blame anyone but myself. i forced myself to keep going, because typically when i don’t like a book, people give me hate. i started to read books all the way through, so i could make a fair call by the end—BUT this?? absolute snooze fest.

these characters are so obsessed with each other just by texting for two chapters ?? there is literally no story and no chemistry between either of them. it also doesn’t help that they are unlikable people too. i do agree that these are healthy (?) characters for the most part—but even with that, i could not tell you a single thing about these two besides their personal issues. there is nothing wrong with characters having trauma and dealing with difficulty and hardships in life, but that overtook the entire story and neither of them needed to be in a relationship, they actually needed therapy/help. the most slow yet rushed book i have ever read. coupled with all the side drama/unnecessary plots?? that gave me sjm vibes and not in a good way.

also, the writing was absolutely fucking atrocious. nothing in this book gave me feeling, it just felt shoved up my ass. as a bitch who has the iq of a potted plant—i felt so smart reading this. literally nothing happens for 400 pages!! oh. my. god. i could not tell you why these two liked each other… i don’t even think they knew. also i could not tell you who was speaking, like i am CONFUSED?? what was with the dialogue tags?? this was also the most dry storyline i have read in a long time.
