ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review via NetGalley.
Anyone reading this review know of the song, Fuel by Metallica?
Run by Blake Crouch is a little like that.
Instead of fuel, it’s a straight shot of adrenaline being pumped into your veins until the last page.
This book was initially published in 2011, but I believe it was republished this year and I was lucky enough to get an ARC.
I’ve always enjoyed Blake Crouch’s books. They tend to be more on the sci-fi side but that’s not the case with Run.
It’s a gripping dystopian thriller that’s relentless in pace, brutality, action and utter chaos throughout the entire book.
Our main character Jack Colclough and his family are running for their lives.
Senseless murders are happening throughout the entire United States, and the killers have just become organized.
One night over the Emergency Broadcast System, Jack hears his name mentioned. The killers are finally coming for him and his family. He must leave his home, run as fast as he can, and get to a safe place.
Jack still doesn’t understand why rage and murder is sweeping across the United States, but he can’t focus on “why” this is happening. All he can do is run, protect his family, and try to survive.
**One last thing, I wanted a bit more information on why people turned into murderers. There’s a concept to it but I could have used a bit more elaboration on the side effects.
I’m being super vague on this due to spoilers.**
If you enjoy books by Blake Crouch, I think you’ll love this. It’s exciting, overwhelming and I couldn’t put it down!

“So give me fuel, give me fire
Give me that which I desire, ooh!”

I planned on doing it today, but work had to work. Hoping to get it done by tomorrow! :D
Thanks Vickie! It was so intense. Holy hell. hahaha
I can believe it Melissa!! Glad you see you liked this too.
I do not read the original release so I’m not actually sure what would change between this new one and the original. Either way, hope it works for you on the second time around!
Fab review by the way Ginger."
Yes! It is a re-release. I have no idea what’s different between the two and if there’s anything at all.
Thanks Sade and glad to hear you liked this too!
