I know a person with Downs Syndrome and if you do then you know that they are absolute blessings to everyone who knows them. Max Hartfield is no exception, I think Shawn Inmon must have some experience with someone with Downs based on some of the challenges that Max faces and his reactions to them. I will warn you this one will choke you up at times. So if you do not want a book to possibly make your suddenly have allergies or dust in the air you might want to skip this one. If you like getting kicked in the feels then pick this up and give it a read.
I really liked the ending of this book. I am looking forward to the sequel for that reason the most but also because it was a interesting story.

It reminded me of Hyperion in that they were on a trip somewhere and many of the Aliens give their story as they are going. It reveals more and more through that exposition by those characters. ...more

Every single book in this series both this sub series and the main series have been spectacular. So many times when a 2nd author is brought in on an existing series it just does not work but Janci Patterson did a phenomenal job on all three of these. They should be read in order, however you could read this book before Cytonic or after and not have it affect the other story. ...more

SometimI really enjoyed this book, my first instinct is to give this 5 stars but I like to think about a book a while before I give anything 5 stars. Sometimes a book just ends well but then you do not ponder it afterwards. I have a feeling this book will be one I will think about afterwards for a while. If thats confusing its because I came back and updated it to the five it deserved. I went in not knowing what to expect and maybe thats for the best because the story that E.C. Myers weaved was both surprising in a lot of ways and just well written all around. The hero of the story finds a magical coin or so he thinks that can grant his wishes. Maybe not entirely without consequence but at first it seems quite good. There are a few really good twists and a really good ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I am going to go buy it right now!...more

If anything I think he has become a better writer because this book was even better than A Ripple in Time. I do think the end was a bit rushed and I am not sure why it was. Its not like readers hate it when books we enjoy keep going. If you like time travel books this one explores some interesting ideas and I really enjoyed that. ...more
