Algernon Blackwood

Their very ordinariness, I felt, masked what was malignant and hostile to us.”
Algernon Blackwood, The Willows

“No place worth knowing yields itself at sight, and those the least

walls of memory.”
Algernon Blackwood, A Prisoner in Fairyland
