Like most of you here, books are my life. Reading is a passion, but writing is the biggest part of me. Balance is my greatest challenge, as I love my family, friends, animals and home, but also love traveling to meet my readers. Hope I meet many of you soon!

“I hate this feeling. Like I'm here, but I'm not. Like someone cares. But they don't. Like I belong somewhere else, anywhere but here, and escape lies just past that snowy window, cool and crisp as the February air.”
Ellen Hopkins, Crank

“Love means holding on to someone just as hard as you can because if you don't, one blink and they might disappear...forever.”
Ellen Hopkins, Impulse

“When you love someone, you don't want to hurt them, even if they deserve to be hurt. When you love someone, you want to hurt them, even when they don't deserve to be hurt.”

message 28: by Maria (last edited 29 mai 2015 23:09)

Maria I was searching my library near my house to read a book one day. I was looking for something new and then something in the corner of H authors caught my eye. There were huge books all lined up next to each other. I walk over and look at them. I pick up a book and see 'Ellen Hopkins: Impulse' I turn over the book and see the words
"Act
on your impulse
Swallow the bottle
Cut a little deeper
Put the gun to your chest "

And I was *gasps* "Oh my God. That must be some deep stuff." I even felt scared holding it. I felt my hand shake and quickly went to the counter to check it out. That's how I got started on these books. I then read Perfect and next Tilt. I still have a lot more to go and for some reason, my library doesn't carry Crank so I'll need to order it from a different library probably.
I want to thank you for accepting my friend request and that I absolutely love your books. You are such a good writer, it's scary. Continue to write.
By the way, I asked a question but I'm not sure you'll answer so I'll write it here: Are you going to write another book for Perfect? When I finished it, I felt like there were still a lot of unanswered questions.

Abby Thanks for accepting my friend request Ellen!
