A caveat! Mark Lawrence is a friend. I received this free advance reading copy from the publisher. I do not think either of these things affect my rating of the book. A couple or three more things. I really like crows. I am fascinated with memory and ...more |

The usual caveat. Maybe. Peter V Brett and I have been friends for a long time. And I got a free copy of this book from Grim Oak Press, because, uh, I filched it off the shelf at Shawn Speakman's warehouse. Yes. Book theft. But on to the review! This ...more |

What happened to my review? Did I type it out and never post it? Well. Anyway. If you haven't read this yet, I think it's perfect for a winter read. It's cozy, warm-hearted and ultimately kind. Does that mean there are no high-tension moments? Well, o ...more |

| I think I was 12, or perhaps 13. I had some birthday money and I went into Adler's Book Store in Fairbanks Alaska. I bought a wonderful book called The Cat and Mrs. Carey. And with money to spare, I impulsively bought a book called The Short Stories ...more | |

Well, the usual Caveat. I met J. Ann Thomas at a library function in Tacoma. She was seated next to me, and we struck up a conversation. And we have since become friends. At the event, several months ago, I bought her book and finally read it. (My inc ...more |

First, the usual caveat. I consider Cherie Priest a friend of years. I don't think that influences my review. I bought this book myself. I try to avoid spoilers. I expected this book to be different from what it was. That's not a bad thing, not at all ...more |

“Wolfe was drinking beer and looking at pictures of snowflakes in a book someone had sent him from Czechoslovakia...
...Wolfe seemed absorbed in the pictures. Looking at him, I said to myself, "He's in a battle with the elements. He's fighting his way through a raging blizzard, just sitting there comfortably looking at pictures of snowflakes. That's the advantage of being an artist, of having imagination." I said aloud, "You mustn't go to sleep, sir, it's fatal. You freeze to death.”

Thank you for adding me as a friend. I read your books in the Farseer Trilogy. It was so mesmerising with the depths of emotions you evoked with your characters that I am finding myself at a loss which other next best fantasy book to pick up and enjoy as much as I did yours :)

I wanted to tell you that I love your books, I read your latest books first. After I had read them, it makes me want to read the next one. So then have started reading all your other earlier books, they all capture my imagination and transport me to somewhere else. My favorite characters are Fitz and the Fool. Thank you so much for writing your books, and creating them, and in so doing, delighting our souls. Best wishes to you.
Ps. Can Fools Quest be released already? :D

It's an honor to befriend an author of such high regard, thank you so much for accepting.:)
Now I understand her.
I guess we are masochists))) for we love you even after that))))))
So I sending her Hellos to the Creator of the Fool also, thank you, excuse us for intruding and have a good day!!!
