I AM TRULY HUMBLED BY THIS RECOGNITION FROM SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS, NATIONALLY-ACCLAIMED ORGANIZATION. ON OCTOBER 20, 2016, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT MANHATTAN BOOK REVIEW WILL PUBLISH A FAVORABLE REVIEW AND THE NOVEL WILL BE GIVEN A STAR RATING OF 5 OUT OF 5.
ALSO, I GREATLY APPRECIATE THAT THE BIG THRILL MAGAZINE PUBLISHED AN ARTICLE IN ITS JUNE EDITION DISCUSSING MY INTERVIEW ABOUT THE DEVICE TRIAL. THE ARTICLE MENTIONED THAT THE DEVICE TRIAL IS A "....CLIFF-HANGER..." THAT DRAWS ON MY "....INTIMATE KNOWLEDGE OF JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS TO DELIVER A STORY RICH IN REALISM AND COMPLEX CHARACTERS."

THE DEVICE TRIAL BEGINS WITH NEW YORK ATTORNEY BRIAN BRADFORD SEVERELY INJURED AND HOSPITALIZED AFTER THE VIOLENT CONFRONTATION AT THE END OF MY FIRST NOVEL, THE COMPLAINT. HAVING NOT LEARNED HIS LESSON FROM HIS FIRST LITIGATION AGAINST ZEIIMED, HE DECIDES TO COMMENCE A SECOND SUIT AGAINST THE BILLION DOLLAR HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY. HE AGREED TO START THE SUIT AFTER MEETING THE ELDERLY MARTHA DUDLEY AND LEARNING THAT SHE WAS DYING FROM A DEFECTIVE METAL ON METAL HIP REPLACEMENT DEVICE MANUFACTURER BY A SUBSIDIARY OF ZEIIMED.
TO OBTAIN EVIDENCE THAT ZEIIMED KNEW OF THE DEFECTS, BRIAN MUST ENGAGE IN ILLEGAL AND UNETHICAL
CONDUCT THAT ONCE AGAIN RESULTS IN A LIFE AND DEATH STRUGGLE WITH JOHN EDISON, THE CEO OF ZEIIMED.
IN PREPARING FOR TRIAL AGAINST ZEIIMED, BRIAN REALIZES THAT HE HAS LITTLE CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING WITHOUT THE INVALUABLE ASSISTANCE OF HIS COLLEAGUE MARY AND HIS DEAR FRIEND MEADHBH. TOGETHER THEY FORM A TEAM THAT WILL HOPEFULLY BRING ZEIIMED TO IT'S KNEES IN A HIGH PROFILE TRIAL IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK.
MEADHBH HELPS BY DEVISING A CREATIVE PLAN OF SEXUAL DIVERSION THAT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE BRIAN WITH CRITICAL INCULPATORY DOCUMENTS THAT WERE HIDDEN BY ZEIIMED IN A MASTERFUL DECEPTION.
HOWEVER, ZEIIMED REFUSES TO ACCEPT DEFEAT AND UNLEASHES A STORM OF VIOLENCE INTENDED TO INFLICT DIRE CONSEQUENCES ON BRIAN AND THOSE CLOSE TO HIM.
IT'S UP TO BRIAN TO WIN BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE COURTROOM, DESPITE HIS ADVERSARY'S BEST EFFORTS TO DESTROY ANY AND ALL OBSTACLES HINDERING A VICTORY BY ZEIIMED. OF COURSE, ZEIIMED BELIEVES THE PRIMARY OBSTACLE TO BE ERADICATED IS BRIAN AND THE WOMEN HE CHERISHES.

I JUST COMPLETED MY FIRST GIVE-AWAY FOR THE DEVICE TRIAL AND I LOOK FORWARD TO TO ADDING ADDITIONAL BOOKS TO THE PROGRAM.
