Dear Puneet,
Religion plays an extremely important role in the modern life. The greatest role of religion is to connect people based on common faith and believes. When millions of people follow a religion, they feel connected to each other. Sometime people, argue that science should replace religion. That is however, never possible. It is because, science tells the fact--the reality as it is. However, religion tells people the ideals--what it should be. Science can tell you your position but can't tell you which way to go. Hence, you can see that all societies where religion is discarded and people have become atheists, are very materialistic since they have started treating human beings like a commodity, which they use and throw. It is religion that makes us believe that we are like God, made in the image of God and hence persuade us to behave like God-justly, honestly, lovingly. Though, there are some instances where religion is misused, but the benefit of religion is far greater than its misuse.

Anyone can write what he or she wants. However, to write what is in the mind of others or what people are waiting to listen is never easy. We are self-centered and see the world from our perspective only. Hence, when we write, others don't appreciate us as their world is different than our world.
Writing is an skill which is acquired with time when you keep writing and accept appreciation as well as criticism. You should not be discouraged by criticism and take it in a positive spirit.
Please understand that writing and writer are not two but one. If writing makes a person writer, his writing is an expression of the self. Hence a writer is often exposing his most sacred thoughts and beliefs to unknown people and baring his soul. The result is love and trust of some people and hatred and criticism from others. Hence a famous writer is also criticized most.
Don't aim only for fame but also be ready for hatred, criticism and indifference. (less)

Good Bosses are Good, Bad Bosses are Better

I recently read a quote on Facebook which reads: “A bad job with good boss is better than a good job with bad boss.” This quote was liked and endorsed by a large number of people, which shows that most people think that the quote is right. I however, disagree with the quote. I have learned from my experience that you grow best when you work with the so called bad bosses. Let me explain why?

“As per the Indian philosophy of the Upanishads, the source of evil is one’s ego-sense –Ahankara—which differentiates oneself from the other selves. A person, who visualizes himself independent of others, tries to guard or please himself at the cost of others. Evil is thus the tendency of a person to live a life that is not ‘in harmony’ with the rest of the world, but ‘in opposition’ to it or at best ‘in indifference’ to it. The good is to discover the unity in the diversity of ‘all selves’ and beings. Once unity in diversity is realized, every being becomes our own self and good deeds follow automatically”
Awdhesh Singh, Good and Evil: Two Sides of the Same Coin

“Idealism is an ideal which is based on the idea of someone of the perfect world or the perfect life. An idealist fails to understand the limitation of his idea and believes that the real world can be converted into the world of his idea.”
Awdhesh Singh, Good and Evil: Two Sides of the Same Coin

“It is said in the Upanishads: ‘I am the Universe.’ If you ask a hundred people as to how they find the world, they are all likely to give different answers. For some, the world is beautiful and the people are good, while for others, the world is extremely bad, and the people are treacherous and sinful. Why the same world is different for different people? It is so, because the outer world is the projection of our inner world. Therefore, the only way to improve the world outside is to improve the world within. While we may not have any control over the outside world, we can change our world within and thus change the world outside.”
Awdhesh Singh, Good and Evil: Two Sides of the Same Coin

“Spiritual Intelligence is the Intuitive knowledge of the Self, others, situations and techniques to achieve the desired objectives of the world.”
Awdhesh Singh

“Intelligence is the ability to understand the problem and find a solution to that problem.”
Awdhesh Singh, Practising Spiritual Intelligence: For Innovation, Leadership and Happiness

“The mystery of the world is revealed only to the person who can look upon the material world with his physical eyes and simultaneously has the spiritual vision necessary to see the unseen spiritual world. One who knows both Matter and Spirit is thus the true knower, and is a spiritually intelligent being.”
Awdhesh Singh, Practising Spiritual Intelligence: For Innovation, Leadership and Happiness

“Our intellect is like a judge who decides the ‘right’ course of action. There is no dearth of information or knowledge in the world, and the mind is where all this is stored. A simple computer can beat the mind by storing many times more information than the mind can ever imagine grasping in its lifetime. But both the mind, as well as the computer, are of no use without the intellect, which alone can help them use their stored information. This makes the intellect superior to both.”
Awdhesh Singh, Practising Spiritual Intelligence: For Innovation, Leadership and Happiness

“The knowledge of the Spirit is the true secret of creativity, leadership and happiness. It is spiritual intelligence that makes an ordinary person a genius. When a genius loses his spiritual intelligence, he becomes quite ordinary.”
