Keala Kendall (pronounced: kay-ah-luh) is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of How Far I’ll Go and Nobody Gets Left Behind in Disney's A Twisted Tales series, and That Which Feeds Us: A Hawaiian Gothic. Hapa Native Hawaiian, she is a cofounder of Pacific Islanders in Publishing and a past organizer of the Books for Maui charity auction.

Keala answered JD Wheeler's question: Can you pitch Twisted Tales? Would you be interested in an Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet story? Your writing style would work brilliantly with those tales! For both Moana and Lilo & Stitch, Disney Publishing approached me first—and thank you! I love both of those movies, so working on a Twisted Tale for either one of them would be a dream come true.
